Things like the power switch, volume rocker, and, the charging port. They get a lot of daily use, do they ever wear out? can they be replaced at a reasonable cost if they need replacing?
Thanks!

Yes, those things can be replaced. How "reasonable" the cost will be will depend on who does the repair and where those parts come from.

Thanks nahoku, I guess when and if the time comes, I'll find out the cost then. Sometimes, the cost of repair is almost the price of a new item.

I recently inquired about replacing the charge port on a Galaxy S3. The guy at the store quoted $65 US. I don't know about the rest of your question.

Thanks flintlock, I guess it depends a lot on the cost of the phone, I'd pay $65 for a $400-600 phone but not for a $100 phone.

I've read threads of power switches and volume rocker switches going out on this forum, but have never experienced those failures in any of my mobile devices over many years. Rough handling of the USB port while connecting/disconnecting the cable, or flash drives, etc, can damage it. Best to just take extra care with the charging port...don't just jank stuff out. Go slow... you won't miss those 2 seconds of your life.

Thanks for that nahoku, I do insert / pull out plugs very carefully, straight inline with the port and grasp by the connector, never the wire. My ham radio years taught me that.

I think it will better if you buy one new Android phone rather that repairing it. For this, you can add some more money but it will give you more new features also.

Yeah, I think your right. Besides the workmanship these days are questionable.
