Replacing screen

Hello, I have a S7 that the screen broke. It turns on but the screen is black and now I cannot get my pictures or contacts off it. My question is can I take my old s4 screen and hook it up to my s7 just to use the screen and transfer what I need??

I doubt that using an S4 screen would work.

There are places that can replace broken screens - I used one in the past with my S5. It only took about an hour, if I recall correctly. If it were my phone, I would start by looking into that.
