Hi folks. I'm looking to upgrade to a 4.2 ROM, but understand it is recommended to be on an updated version of CWM prior to flashing. So I am requesting if anyone can please provide a flashable zip file for the latest CWM, preferably touch. I've been looking all over for it, but can only find the .IMG files. Thank you so much!

I am pretty sure cwm has not updated yet which is why the updated twrp is the recovery of choice for 4.2

Edit: Oops I may have misspoken don't be too mad:)

Time to learn how to fastboot an img file!

It's seriously easy, and something you have no excuse to not be able to do if you own a Nexus device and are a power user (one who unlocks, roots, flashes, tweaks things, etc).

Download the img and:
fastboot flash recovery nameofrecovery.img

That's it :)

Incorrect, CWM has been updated. The latest version is 6.0.1.5, and it's available as both touch and non-touch versions.

Thanks for the reply. I am well versed in flashbooting .img files. My issue is my lack of access to a PC for the next few days. So if anyone can provide me with the zip file, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again!

I feel I've been preaching this since seeing the light a few days ago, so why stop now. Download goomanager from the play store. Hit menu<install openrecoveryscript and enjoy TWRP. It'll auto dl and remove CWM. You'll quickly forget about CWM.
