Rescuing Files from Broken Phone

[AC Question]

On a Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo. The screen/display is smashed, it gives a quick flicker when the power button is pressed but there's no way it's usable. I am ready to bin the phone but want to get files off first - pictures basically. When I connect the phone to my Windows laptop the phone does appear in Windows Explorer but I cannot access it because I know the phone will require permission to be granted by tapping an "Allow" button on the screen. But of course the screen is unusable. Any other ways of removing the files without the necessity for the screen actions?
