Restricted account, new apps always stop

I have a restricted account on our Galaxy Tab A (2016) for my son to use. Which worked great for 2 years until recently any app I grant his account access to has the message that the app "has stopped". Also there is a notification from "Google Play sevices" stating "Account action required" but when the notification is tapped it also come up that Google Play sevices has stopped.

The apps work fine in the Tablets main user account, I cannot access the notification from the main account, and all the apps work fine on the main account. Any app that works fine on the restricted account, if any working app is taken off the list of apps allowed on the restricted account but then put back on, it will no longer work. I can let him use my account to use certain apps that don't work, but being 7 years old, he then has access to too much for my liking.

Can anyone please help
