[Retired][ROM]Superclean 2.9.2 EA15/EB01/EB16/EC10 Based

Yeah I am not incredibly bothered by it. I love the phone and they all have quirks. I guess being new to the whole rooting thing I am wondering if there are more stable but less customizable roms out there. I would love to become knowledgable but being honest with myself I don't have time to do more than dabble. I wanted the bloatware gone and 2.2 for the Flash and moving apps to the sd card. Unless something grabs my attention i probobly won't go any deeper.

Since going to SC2.9.2v I have noticed a notification ringtone that I cannot figure out where to disable or change.

I am using NoLed and K-9 email. It only happens when the phone is not on Vibrate or Silent. I have checked all of the NoLed, K-9 mail, ADW Launcher, and general Sound and Notifications that I can find.

The ringtone plays when there is a notification and will continue to play until the notification screen is opened.

Not a huge problem, just wanting to be able to pick a new notification sound or shut off.

I looked around on the forum and did a search. Couldn't find anything that seemed to mention this specific issue or suggest a fix.

btw, still loving SC2.9.2v and the Glowing Blue dialer from gunnermike's theme. Maybe this weekend I'll get around to playing with more than just the dialer.

Glad to see that ED01 is out, got friends that don't want to root...

Thanks,

Ok, so I flashed CWM all. I want to put the old music player, the clock package and the TW Launcher. Since I have flashed CWM, could I download those three files from Adrynalyne's thread right from my phone. Press the power button until it gives me the different options, and press recovery from there?

I believe that is how some people have done it. Download to the sd card, boot to recovery, flash.

so it should recognize the three files and when I'm done, should I press the power button down again? or what should I do?

You are doing the same thing you would do if you downloaded these files to your computer then flashed them. You are just downloading the files straight to your phone instead of through the computer. Boot to recovery, flash the files through cwm, then reboot. If you don't know how to use cwm, click the link in my signature for DroidXcon's guide to cwm with screenshot visual aids.

I downloaded the files, and went step by step as in the pictures but it didn't have the files I downloaded so I went back all the way to the main menu where it says to reboot system. I didn't reboot system since I didn't apply anything, instead I hit the search key to go back and it left me with a blank screen and the four icons at the bottom lit up. How do I get out of this? or this I screw my phone up?

Can I flash 2.9.2 over full stock eb01 Rom without any issues?

If you are just flashing the ROM in CWM, then yes, you can flash directly over full stock EB01. You can even use DroidXcon's 2.9.2 package since you are already on an EB01 build.

I've tried searching this forum for the answer but I couldn't find it. Is there a way to change which toggles are in the status bar drop down on this rom? I apologize if its there and I couldn't find it. Thanks!

As far as I know, there isn't a way.

I'm not sure that is possible with any ROM

Nope you cant change them in this framework. Why would you want to change them out of curiosity?

Well, the reason I wanted to change them is I wanted different toggles up there. I don't know who really uses the auto rotate toggle very often so it would be nice to use it as a silent/vibrate toggle. And yes, sky raider for the dinc has it. It's what I have on my dinc and I wanted to see if its possible to do on my girlfriends fascinate. Sounds like its not possible though. Oh well. Thanks all for the help :)

I used the auto rotate toggle all the time actually, I usually have it off actually.

What does the DRM package patch do? I already put back the clock, music player and launcher back on. Just wondering what that patch is, thank you

I did a google search on DRM and it seems it stands for Digital Rights Management which apparently may be a way Samsung controls what digital content you can view on your phone. I remember seeing Adrynalyne post that he removed DRM content, so I would guess the patch puts the DRM content back for anyone who wants it.

EDIT - further research revealed there is some DRM protected material, and if you want to access that, it would seem you need to install the patch.
