[Retired][ROM]Superclean 2.9.2 EA15/EB01/EB16/EC10 Based

I really like certain aspects of the theme used on Superclean 2.9, but there are others from different themes I've used in the past that I prefer.

What theme is Superclean 2.9 using? If I install another theme and don't like it, is there a way to switch back to the SC 2.9 theme?

There is no theme in superclean. Superclean is just a ROM. If you don't like a theme and want to go back to superclean without a theme, just flash sc 2.9 by itself in cwm and reboot, the theme will be gone.

If you are going to follow the suggestions given to you and use one of DroidXcon's ODIN packages it will do the wipe for you. If you want to upgrade through the manual route, you will have to do the wiping yourself. Either way going from Eclair to Froyo, you have to wipe data, cache, and dalvik cache.

As far as your question, poor battery life is just something we have to deal with on EB01. It is a leaked, rejected, buggy Froyo build that Adrynalyne has done an amazing job of repairing. We won't see battery life improve until after the official Froyo release and Adrynalyne and the other devs can get their hands on the source code and give us custom kernels

You're welcome. What method were you planning on using to upgrade to 2.9?

Thanks again for your help. Got 2.9 installed and it seems to be running fine. I did a full data and dalvik wipe. But I didn't do a cache wipe... Is this going to cause issues?

If you used one of DroidXcon's package, especially the one without the x after 29, it wiped everything for you so you are good to go.

something weird happened today. In the middle of a phone call, the phone switched over to the honeycomb boot animation and the call kept going for at least 10 seconds til the person on the other line hung up. I had to do a hard reset after like 3 minutes because the boot animation kept going! I was playing angry birds rio when the call came in, I answered, talked for about 2 minutes, then the animation started!!!

3G Mobile Hotspot App question?

So I am on 2.9.1 and also have the EC10 kernel with the dummy tethering feature. I have the wireless tether for root app but I was wondering if I can also use the 3G Hotspot App that came pre installed without having extra charges from Verizon?

Oh ok, thanks for the reply. I guess I just got confused because I used DroidXCon's SC2.9 Odin package and now I have a pimp boot up animation so I assumed it was part of SC2.9.

I read this just as I'm flashing back to EB01 debloated to test to see if I can start getting mms again. after flashing two different modems, back to samsung mms, clearing this cache and that, still can't get mms from my wife's phone. It might be related to the qcp that she's sending, but not sure. Nonetheless, I'll test with 2.9.2 when/if it gets released regardless of whether or not EB01 debloated fixes my issue.

We always have a choice, right?

QCP messages turning into slideshow

Have an issue with my phone, currently running 2.9 SC. My wife went to send me a video from her phone. It shows up as downloading when I look at my messages.

I had her send me video and pictures, and all the same result. I reloaded the modem EB01, and now it shows up as if I can play the video, but it shows up almost like it's 10 frames that don't move, and knowing that the video is 300k on her phone, it shows up as 76k on my phone. The pictures and videos that show as downloading show up as 30k

Thoughts?

I'd hate to roll back and update stock to chase down a bug with Verizon. The attached images show the "downloading" message which has been there all day and doesn't allow me to do anything when I short or long press on the bubble. And there is the bubble with the image and the play button, but that's the one that shows up as what appears to be either 10 frames or merged messages and with no actual video.

Having already talked with DroidX, I thought to stop by here.

You must have 3g enabled to receive mms, even on wifi.
Enabling it later is not an option.

FIXED IT. Going EB01 Debloated fixed the issue.

Knowing that 3G was always on, I knew that something else has to be the issue.

QCP messages from my wife's feature phone were coming to me as a jpg slide show. Reflashing with eb01 modem and samsung mms, clearing cache and dalvik, seemed to do nothing, as did scrubbing the phone per DroidX's instructions.

Used Odin to flash EB01 debloated fixed the issue without a hitch. Wife resent the same video, this time it worked. Previous pics and mms from her would not come to me, but now they are.

Adrynalyne, that said, if you happen to want those files sent to you from her phone, pm me your mobile and I'll have her send them to show you what happened. If it works for you, then I'm stumpped and will stay on EB01 debloated until 2.2 is officially released and the devs release some new stable custom cores.
