[Retired][ROM]Superclean 2.9.2 EA15/EB01/EB16/EC10 Based

I meant last time, did you just move the file or did you move it then install it? Because that might have been the problem.

Hopefully this question has not been answered a billion times, I searched heartily but perhaps I missed it:
My first custom rom was SC 2.9. I noticed all was working well, and I had a choice of all these lock screens. I use the pattern unlock, but I played around with the different lockscreens and left it on AOSP. I flashed the 2.9.1 patch, then the 2.9.2 full ROM in CWM. When I got a call yesterday, I realized that there is no Ignore function on the AOSP lockscreen, so I went to change it back to Puzzle Unlock, since that has Answer, Hang up, AND ignore options when a call comes in. However, I go into my display settings, and regardless of which one I pick the AOSP stays active. Any ideas how to get my puzzle lock back?
I did a double wipe of data and all caches. I reflashed CWM 2.9.2. The first thing I did was make sure Puzzle Lockscreen was turned on. Without pattern lock turned on, the puzzle lock came up. Yay! however, when I enabled the pattern lock screen for security, when the phone rings the AOSP lock screen comes up, even though I have never selected it with this fresh install. Is anyone else experiencing this or can you replicate the problem?

Oh. I just moved it, no install. When I pressed the home softkey I could see the wallpaper and the 4 euphoric dock icons, but it would go into a fc loop.

LoL just moving it didn't install it, so you kept using the one that was either corrupt or broke. When you flashed the zip file you actually installed the .apk

Sometimes it takes a lot of complicated pointless steps to get to the right destination, but we all learn so much along the way it's worth it. Enjoy your now working phone =)

thanks again. i actually went back and re-flashed 2.9.2, a white aosp theme, and installed just the touchwizlauncher.apk because flashingthe touchwiz.zip turned a lot of things black and it didn't look good with the white notification bar.

data shuts off when phone locks

I'm running ec10 sc 2.9.2

I flashed a new theme, didn't like it. So I reflashed sc 2.9.2 again. All is well except since I have reflashed everytime my phone locks the data gets turned off.
Any thoughts?

Running 2.9.2 with the Honeycomb theme... Phone has been running real good. Except the last few days I have noticed that I'm not receiving my gmail, through the gmail app. I used to get it right away when someone sent me anything but now nothing... every now and then, maybe. Its been about 2 days now since I noticed that. I havent done anything different to the phone, so not sure what to do to fix that. Any Ideas people??

I believe that's the way sbrissen has the 5 lock screens set up. If you use the pattern lock screen, the 5 locks defaults to AOSP. If you want the puzzle lock for answering calls so you can have the option to ignore, you can't use the pattern lock screen. There was something conflicting, so sbrissen had to have that set up.

When you flashed 2.9.2 did you do a restore with Titanium Backup? I had this exact same problem a while back and I've got a few suggestions for you based on what helped me

I did actually. Restored my LP. I couldnt log-in to the Pro version no matter what I tried. Wouldnt take my unlock code. So restored that and it fixed that problem...

So it's just because it's a hacked ROM basically? That I can live with... I figured out that the power button silences calls, so I can just use that with the AOSP screen. I really hate hitting the hang up option, because that sends it straight to voicemail, letting the caller know I didn't want to talk to them, unlike ignore where it seems like I'm just not there. Hopefully when our official Froyo comes out these minor problems will get solved.

Edit removed quote and reply to a post that totally wasn't directed at me.

All you restored was LP?

Go into settings ---> applications --> manage applications --> All

Do you see Google Search(Enhanced) 2.1-update?

Okay, days of reading. My brain is mush.

Please clarify:
Two weeks ago I flashed EB16SC29_DXC.tar through Odin.
I am superclean, bloatware free, froyo goodness.
A few days later I patched 2.9.1 through CWM.
The next day 2.9.2 was released so I patched that as well, repeating the process from the first patch.

So if I understand correctly, my ROM, which is my phone's operating system, is superfrankenclean 2.92.

Now, kernals... it's just not clicking.
The kernal is the thing that makes the ROM run? I need a visual... is this like an interpreter, say, or a bridge between apps and the OS? How do I choose a kernal? What is considered best? What do I have now vs. what is available and why?

Thanks. I want to understand the whys behind the whats. I know I can flash now. I know I can root. Now I want DNA details.

:D Yay!
