so 2.8 comes with the kernal? I just need to flash sc 2.8 with cwm and then I can install any addons through cwm that I need like think free office? Am I correct in all this?

Yes, SC2.8 comes with the EB16 kernel. Flash with CWM. You can then flash the addons you desire.

Quick question, I'm running SC 2.8 my market keeps force closing anyway to fix my problem?

Hit the menu button and go settings=>applications=>manage applications=>all, scroll to market, click on it and click the gray bar to clear cache. If that doesn't resolve the problem, boot to recovery and wipe cache and dalvik cache then reboot.

I am having the same problem and did the above suggested by Landshark, didn't work, any other ideas before I reflash my phone. Anyone else having trouble with the market on 2.8 S.C.?

i traced my issue back to google maps trying to update. i loaded up Titanium, unistalled the market, and google maps, then installed market again. so far, so good. been almost 18 hours.

EDIT: Google maps 5.4.0 i do believe....

I beleive it is the first package under the patches section in the first post of this thread. look for tw_clock_package.zip

I had the same problem with the market when I flashed SC2.7 then I did the following and had no problems ever since that, even with 2.8 so you might want to give it a try. First make a nandroid backup just incase you mess up. Open something with super user rights, Titanium Backup, and go down to vending.apk or the market, click on it and do a data wipe(may not be needed but I did to be sure) then uninstall the market. Here's a link to the stock 2.3.3 market, and here's one for the honeycomb 2.3.4 market that I used. Download what ever one you like and put the file on the base of you sd card. Then boot into clock work recovery, do a cache & dalvik cache wipe, then choose to install file from sd card, go to the market.zip file you just placed on your sd card and install it. Then boot up your phone and everything should be good to go. The first time after doing this I launched the market half my app links were missing but after installing or updating one app they all came back. Hope it works for you as it did for me.

When I open google voice, and start a text, the "to" field does not show what I am typing. It still works, for example, if I was to type 53, mike would come up, and then I could click on the name, but still would have nothing in the "to" field. I could still send the message to the sender I wanted I just can't se e the name in the input field. Not sure if this is superclean 2.8 or if it is nitrodark 2.3. I don't remember it with earlier superclean roms, and would have. That being said,i probably wouldn't have noticed it with superclean 2.8 since I flashed nitrodark over it soon after installing superclean. Anyone else see this?

I flashed EB01 Superclean 2.8 with Super Dark Theme. Not sure which did it, but better life is 10x better than when I had DL09. With DL09, the minute I turned my phone on after a full charge, it would be 95%. I would have no other choice but to plug it in at least once a day, and this is even after barely using it throughout the day.

But after having EB01/Superclean 2.8/Super Dark for the past 2 days, I've had excellent battery life. Same amount of apps as before, not doing anything different. Battery is currently 35%, and this is after it has been on for about 14-1/2 hours.

Thank you to everyone who has make these ROMS/Kernels/Themes. I love the super dark theme and the way my phone is running.

That's great battery life. What kernel are you running?

Just put the 2.8 superclean on the phone and loving it. The boot animation was great. So far so good, havent had any FC's sure i will get a few eventually. Thanks again to adrynalyne for his hard work. No need for stock when there is this awesomeness out there.

Running EB16/SC2.8 with no themes. Google Voice is texting fine for me. I don't have that problem you are exhibiting.

I seem to remember it being this way in older versions of SC (or maybe it was a different loader I was running at the time). I would prefer to just see all my email rather than tabing through each account.

The images are a bit small, but the launcher appears to be launcher pro. Sorry, but I can't answer the second question. I'll leave that up to the expert.

I'm experiencing a small bug where I have to hit the search key twice for the google search to pop up. All the other soft keys react just fine. When I first press on it, it vibrates but nothing pops up. Its only after unlocking the phone. I'm also experiencing a force close with tapatalk when trying to create a post (which its why I didn't create one ) I get an error like 09009
*update: I don't know what I did but tapatalk works now. Still having problems with search key though, forget to mention I'm on sc2.8 and using adw ex launcher

*edit: I thought I fixed tapatalk but I guess not. Its a9900 error code

It will be in 2.8.1, which is currently in testing. If I don't hear any particularly bad news about it, I'll release it by tomorrow evening.

Use the option of restore all missing apps with data. Do not do all apps or any option with system data.

I believe just the apps from what ive read restoring the data can cause issues with the new rom
