[Retired][ROM]Superclean 2.9.2 EA15/EB01/EB16/EC10 Based

Adrynalyne I want to say for the umpteenth time (and no I wont' stop saying this) thanks for everything you do and continue to do. All your hard work and the hard work of the other devs with whom you work makes our Fascinates the best possible phone they can be. My phone has gotten substantially better and faster with each and every version of superclean you put out. Thank you. More beer coming your way.

I am right there with Landshark and gunnermike53. Thanks a ton for your investment and direction.

Got no bugs to report from my 2.9nv flash.. it is all good!

Email Application

I am using 2.8 and have found not issues other than the email application. The signature does not update. No matter what I do the signature always shows "Sent from my Samsung mobile". Is there a version of the application that could be included in the build that fixes this issue?

my phone is now stuck on the samsung start up logo and is talking to me its saying "convert system partaion time estimated 2 minutes" is this normal? i worrying sounds like its gonna blow up

Sounds like you downloaded the voodoo version if it's talking to you. It takes longer to boot since it reformats the file system.

Was it in a female droid voice? If so you downloaded the wrong version and are trying to install the voodoo version. Look at the file names and use the nonvoodoo one instead of the voodoo one. But it is a little late for that now. We are going to have to have you flash one of DroidXcon's all-in-one ODIN packages to get you out of the voodoo mess before you can flash 2.9 nonvoodoo. What build were you running before? Was your phone rooted or were you running a stock build?

o thats right. It refromats to that new file system that the nexus s has huh?

What happened to your other post about using one of DroidXcon's voodoo packages? DroidXcon does not have any voodoo packages as he does not support voodoo. Voodoo is better used by more experienced rooters as it is easier to bork your phone on voodoo. You have to be more careful about what you flash when you are in voodoo. How did you get to a voodoo rom? Because you definitely did not do it through one of DroidXcon's packages.

Thanks landshark for the quick reply: it was a female voice. I was running superclean v2.8 and rooted. i am now running odin to get out of voodo. then what?

Under Other usage, you should see "Running". Generally that is at 100% when gps is enabled even if an app isn't actively using it. Disabling standalone gps causes that number to drop significantly and improves battery life.

And yay for the Stay Awake option being back under Development.

I am just not seeing it. I am getting close to 24hrs if not more out of a full charge.

Sorry for the huge pictures. I can delete them if they are to big.

wow i suck i guess i read it wrong this is the discription of the file i downloaded

"Super Clean version 2.8 - EB01/EB16 Froyo leak root+Froyo Clockworkmod w/Nonvoodoo eb16 kernel w/ dummy tether module with MALWARE protection
RIGHT CLICK AND SELECT EXTRACT HERE THE .rar file AFTER DOWNLOADING AND BEFORE USING(How to extract in post #2) -->EB16SC28_DXC.tar"

What are you flashing in ODIN, that will determine what steps to do next. When I gave the advice about using ODIN I assumed you were coming from nonvoodoo to voodoo, and your phone was stuck in a force close loop. Sorry to jump to a conclusion but you were doing things faster than I could answer. Let me know what you are flashing in ODIN and what the result was because if you did not disable voodoo lag fix before flashing in ODIN, I may have caused you an unnecessary problem. If I did, sorry and we will seek the advice of Gunnermike53. He is the voodoo expert.

you may not need odin. Make sure you let the voodoo woman finish and the phone boot. If it'll boot, go in and download the SC 2.9 nonvoodoo. Then boot back into recovery, go into voodoo and try disabling lagfix. When you boot again, you should get the voice again to disable lagfix. Then you can boot back into recovery and flash the nv.

sorry for the mix up.

Great googily moogily, so now you definitely used one of DroidXcon's packages and were definitely running nonvoodoo. Once you answer the questions in my last post, let's just take a slow down so I can catch up and figure out exactly where you are so we can figure out where you go from here. Thanks.

Maybe I missed this, but i tried reading over and didn't see my question anywhere. I upgraded to 2.8v. I'm now having it vibrate constantly, force close over half my programs and I can't seem to get it to stop. I have cleared cache and dalvik and rebooted from recovery, etc. I can't seem to get it to stop. Any suggestions?

so after my restore with odin then i manually flash this package from page 1 of this thread

right?

Thanks PJnc284. I was having trouble keeping up. I did not realize that about voodoo. I can only assume he had to have enabled voodoo lag fix through cwm, or does flashing the voodoo rom automatically enable lag fix?

Please post this question in Gunnermike53's voodoo thread here http://forum.androidcentral.com/ver...ks/55753-how-voodoo-updated-3-mar-2011-a.html Sounds like you may have flashed something nonvoodoo over voodoo which is a definite no no. No matter what Gunnermike53 and everyone else in that thread will be able to help you better. This is Adrynalyne's thread specific to the superclean ROM, not a voodoo thread.

I really have no clue. lol Installing JT's voodoo kernel on EB01 automatically did the conversion. When I first switched from EB01nv to SC 2.6v, it booted with no conversion. Had to go in and manually enable it.

right?

Let's take a moment and you need to slow down please. Please answer my previous questions. What are you flashing through ODIN? What is the result of the ODIN flash? Are you able to reboot your phone after the flash? I need to know what state your phone is in and what build you are currently running before I can figure out where to go from here. I don't want to give you the wrong advice and have you end up borking your phone.

Thanks. See this is exactly why DroidXcon and I give the advice to new rooters to hold off on trying voodoo until they are more experienced. Just too many other things going on and extra cautions to keep in mind.
