Hi Adrynalyne,

Thanks for all the effort and help you have put in to this project, it is greatly appreciated.

I am having a problem-upgraded from sc 2.4 (NV) with the latest build SC 2.6 (NV) via CWM Red. Everything has been running good, yesterday I had reset Battstat and ran fix permissions under CWM, then rebooted. All seemed to be ok, but today I noticed the date somehow was showing as Dec 31-fixed after reboot and also (may or may not be related)....my email sig is not posting, even though it is checked and my sig is in the settings section. Instead my sig shows as "sent from samsung mobile" no matter what I put in there.

how long does it usually take to flash 2.9 with CWM, this is my first time trying to flash with cwm and my phone is still trying to install after a couple minutes.... when i downloaded the superfrankenclean file it unzipped itself so i zipped it back up is this a problem?

when i downloaded 2.9 it was a folder with 3 different folders inside not a zip file... inside the folder there was kernel update meta-inf and system folder so i zipped it back up and tried to flash with CWM red and its hanging on "installing update"

Will it wipe my data at all or will the update keep my settings the same? Also, I should do the nonvoodoo version if I'm not experienced? No you cant odin it untill you get the odin package from droidxcon, you have to download the zip file and flash it with CWM recovery

This version is not installed through ODIN. This is just the ROM in a zip file and is installed through clockworkmod recovery (cwm.) DroidXcon takes these ROMs and packages them up in the ODIN flashable files. If you want to flash it through ODIN you will have to wait a while as DroidXcon is still working on it. If you want it now it is done through cwm. If you don't know how to use cwm, I can link you to some step by step instructions. Just let me know which option you want to use.

When DroidXcon gets the packages posted you will need to choose the EB16SC29x_DXC.tar which does not wipe data. Since you are already on 2.8 and that is an EB01 build and will be going to another EB01 build there will be no need to wipe and restore all your data again. It is still a good idea to make sure your contacts and apps are backed up prior to flashing just in case something goes wrong.

landshark or adrynalyne do you know what i did wrong in my post above? my phone is just hanging on the "installing update" step in CWM red and i dont want to mess it up by just unplugging my battery but i guess thats what i have to do

You shouldn't have needed to rezip anything as the original zip should be wherever you downloaded it. Does it still just say "installing update" on the screen?

yes its hanging on the "installing update" step... i downloaded it to a mac but just rezipped it and put it on my sd card

hmm...if it's still installing something isn't right. Sounds like something is wrong with the zip. Only method now is probably pull and pray and see if it'll boot back up and then redownload the file and find the original zip. I'd wait until someone confirms that interrupting the install won't fry anything though.
