[Retired][ROM]Superclean 2.9.2 EA15/EB01/EB16/EC10 Based

Just flashed 2.9.2 voodoo about 1 1/2 hours ago can confirm that swype does work, GPS locks on in 10 seconds outside 25 seconds inside. Battery seems to be hanging in there. Will report back later about more and battery life.
Thanks again Adyrnalyne!

Also- Just found out that you only need to push the search soft button once now to bring up google where as before is was 2 pushes.

what would be to my advantage to switch from non-voodoo to ---Voodoo

Used 2.9.2 as an excuse to do a fresh wipe AND move to voodoo..
Which brings me to my question After a wipe/clean flash I end up with two apps for movie playback Movies and Video Player.. Curious if one is better than other and why a choice wasn't made for one over the other in the ROM.

Thanks Adyrnalyne! for all your efforts..

Dont know why why both were included with the ROM. The only difference i can see in the two is Video Player allows for 5.1 sound with earphones attached and has a volume slder for sound.

Question: I am running 2.9.1 with the ec10 kernel, will I gain anything by flashing 2.9.2 other than a possible headache? I finally have this thing tricked out and running smooth.

I'm with this guy. Any real benefit over the 2.9 with the 2.9.1 patch over it? I FINALLY (after about 2 months) and a second phone later, got it working the way it should!

That is completely your option. If you are happy with your set up, you are happy with your setup. The only thing I can say is I've gotten happier with my phone with each new release of superclean, and Adrynalyne wouldn't have gone through the work he went through and released each new version if it did not improve upon the previous versions. Just like the basic idea behind Android OS, you have options.

2.9.2 is great. 1 question. When I installed this, I currently do not have access to system files. Superuser says it is working and grants access, but does not appear to be working fully. I get the message "blah-blah-blah cannot happen because the file system is read only." I did all the normal wipes and tried flashing a couple of times. Has anyone else noticed this?

Gaining a bit more confidence in flashing my phone. Went ahead and flashed 2.9.2, and took this opportunity to switch on over to Voodoo. With all the help this forum has provided, it couldn't have been easier. 5 minutes total and I was done! Phone is flying :D!!! Thanks to everyone that has provided the tutorials for us newbies. Adrynalyne, Landshark, DroidXCon, gunnermike, especially, Thank you!!

When you see that message while you are in root explorer, look to the top of the page for a white box that says either R/O (read only) or R/W (read/write) click on it and you will be good.

Another thing i just noticed in 2.9.2 is the music controls are gone in the AOSP and Rotary unlock screens like Adrnalyne had removed in 2.9.1 to fix the reboot problems so i dont think there will be a need for any patch to fix that problem in this build. No reboots or FC's in this build yet! Cool

I'm using PowerAmp and it still provides the music controls on the lockscreen.

2.9.2 seems solid and stable here...but the dummy kernel isn't working for me. Anybody had success with tethering?

help!!!

ok, I am currently running the supah Klean 2.9 non-voodoo and i want to upgrade to the 2.9.2 voodoo, what do i need to do? should i do a factory erase under setting> privacy>reset? or should i reflash stock froyo via odin?

Just a quick question. I'm currently using SC 2.6 and want to update to the latest version. However I updated Clockwork through Rom manager to 3.0 a while back. I'm assuming I need Clockwork 2.5 to install the latest SC.

So my question is, what would be the best course of action to revert Clockwork to 2.5?

Would applying cwm-recovery-ALL.tar through Odin over Clockwork 3.0 do the trick?

Apologies for the ignorance, thanks in advance.

That is the correct way. Put the 2.9.2 zip on your sd card. Flash cwm-all through ODIN. When that is done, do not power on phone. Put battery back in, hold volume up, volume down, and power buttons until samsung logo flashes twice. As soon as you see samsung logo for the second time, let go of all three buttons, you will boot to red cwm-all. Wipe cache partition, wipe dalvik cache, flash 2.9.2, reboot phone, done. After that, don't do anything through rom manager, and don't hit apply sdcard:update.zip in recovery.

I'm trying to flash this right now but everytime I hit usb debugging a pop up comes up and says accessibility services not available. I did a little searching and someone said it was completely cosmetic but when I plug my phone into my computer it says device not found. Anyone have a similar situation before or know a fix?
