[Retired][ROM]Superclean 2.9.2 EA15/EB01/EB16/EC10 Based

I'm running LP also...so I'm interested in your input..I just don't want to do a factory reset if I don't have to...it's a real PITA to customize everything again.

I had a force close first thing after I booted after flashing 2.9.2. I uninstalled LP and reinstalled it, and after another force close it has been working fine ever since. Now I am thinking that I may not have had to reinstall, but didn't wait to see what happened after that first force close. It looks like worst case scenario, you'd have to reinstall LP and lose your LP settings. Best case scenario... everything works just fine... or you just get that first force close and everything is fine afterwards.

Alright, so while I did have haptic feedback issues for a bit, it seems to be a glitch. Reflashing the rom fixed it for me.

haptic feed back is super duper

camera is super duper(jsut discovered that neeto panaramic thing)

email is super duper

in genral, a super duper rom. :D

cant wait to see what you do with the mezmerize source.

thanks adrynalyne

I think I saw it posted somewhere in here.... maybe by LandShark, but I could be wrong. But, I think it said something about flashing a theme by nitrogylcerine (Ultimate Honeycomb seems to be the really popular on right now)... give it a try, it can't hurt

Yeah...i've done 2 themes already and it hasn't gotten rid of it. The theme i'm on now is "NitroHoneyComb_2.0" It's a great theme...I love it! But I still have the issues. Last night it was something new too. Usually if I have my phone plugged in, it won't die like that. This morning, I got up and checked my phone...it had COMPLETLEY turned off. When i pressed the power button, after a few seconds, it booted up like normal!! Now, it's gotten better since the patch and a theme. Before about once an hour or two, it would die. But now, just once or twice a day.

So I'm down to deciding gong to the Froyo Leak and getting TERRIBLE battery usage, or using SuperClean and have to deal with the thing dying at least once a day. I just don't get why seeming no one else has these issues. Frustrating

Ok... so I did some experimenting...

Reflashed 2.9.2 (no themes, just ROM)
Haptic feedback worked great, however, the power button did NOT take pictures.

Flashed theme Ultimate Honeycomb-
NO haptic feedback on keyboard but power button is now taking pictures.

Don't know if this is helpful of not, but I thought I would share what I found out

Yep! What he said.. :D

I've used 2.9.1 and now 2.9.2. It's cool! Most things work but there are two major bugs that I hope can get fixed. One is that the GPS works great if I'm launching while connected to wifi but is extremely slow to connect if I'm starting from wifi disabled. The other bug is a bigger deal for me. I can connect to wifi everywhere except at my workplace. Was able to connect with stock 2.1 ROM but does not work with SC 2.9.1 or 2.9.2. I now get horrible battery life, possibly because I'm relying on a bad 3G connection inside the building instead of a good wifi connection I had with 2.1.

Another bug that I'm not sure is new or not is the screen times out sometimes even though I have my screen saver delay set to several minutes. Very annoying during phone calls when I need to get at the mute/unmute button fast.

Overall, I think Froyo is cool and all but for me it's more important to have a bug-free phone regardless of whether it's Eclair or Froyo.

IS this strange? I installed 2.9.2 and it went surprisingly smooth and FAST. The strange thing is that I didn't have to restore anything. My apps were all still there, my Launcher Pro screens and widgets and tray were all still intact and mapped correctly, contacts, texts, emails etc were all still there. Did I miss something?

I went from DL30 and had the same thing happen. I was dreading the process of getting my phone back to look like it was, but it did it all on its own. Sweet.

I installed the Superclean 2.9.2 this morning at around 7 AM when all was said and done. After some somewhat heavy texting, testing GPS, and some browsing and no calls, my battery at 3 PM is 38%. Not great! But I will give it some time. MY biggest complaint is the clock app! I loved the Samsung/Touchwiz clock app. The alarms were cool. Other than that, it has been meh! It does seem a bit snappier but not entirely. I have no theme and I am running GO Launcher, which like always runs great.

Installed 2.9.2 Voodoo. Having read through gunnermike's excellent thread on voodoo, felt I was ready to make jump. Everything went smoothly and all systems appear to be working okay.

Thanks to Adrynalyne for another fantastic rom. I can't wait to see what you can do with the froyo source.

do i need to D/L adobe flash from the market

now that I'm running SC 2.9, do i need to D/L adobe flash from the market or is it already part of android 2.2?

thanks

I want to flash 2.9.2 voodoo. Im currently not running voodoo, can I install the voodoo package and do i need to disbale lagfix after flashing and before reboot. Do i need to also install ebc10 kernel or is that packaged in with this rom?

If you you are NOT running voodoo now you will need to ENABLE lag fix after you flash the voodoo rom.
The EC10 Kernel is included with 2.9.2
Before you voodoo i suggest you read up here:

As I understand it there are not any undervolted kernels yet for this rom, is this correct? Also, could someone please tell me if the Verizon GPS box needs to be checked. I understand the framework has been added to the 2.9 series, but wasn't sure if that affected the gps. Adrynalyne said in 2.8 it would do nothing but now it's 2.9 with Verizon framework. (wasn't sure if verizons framework included gps)

When I press the contacts button and the contacts come up, I cannot use the back button to go back to the home screen. I have to use the home button. I'm using Launcher Pro.

Q: I cannot use the back button in Contacts!

A: Try recreating your Contacts shortcut.

Try deleting and re-creating your contacts shortcut.

Edit - wow Dmabe, way to sneak in and make me look silly =\

Ok, someone help me out? I'm swamped with a lot of stuff.

What issues do we currently have?
--Camera
--Haptic feedback
--email signature

What else?

Haptic feedback works for me, just not on the homescreen icons.

The power button does not take pictures with the camera, but it has been that was since I first installed Froyo with your SC 2.8. The camera's firmware updated the first time I used it after installing 2.8 and I read somewhere that was one of the features of the new camera firmware (says version 1.0). I like it this way because my fingers always got in the way of the lense when using the power button to take pictures.

No other issues for me so far. Not a single F/C yet. Running great!!

No themes, stock launcher. Went from nonvoodoo to voodoo with this release.

There's a patch in the first post of this thread for the TW clock app.
