Return Button/ Widget gone

Since last update my Return, Home and Open apps button disappear from the bottom of my screen. Is anyone else having this challenge?

What launcher are you using? Is this the Oreo update?

Swipe up from the bottom and tap this dot on the bottom left to toggle the buttons to stay visible or not.
