Returned my Bionic today.

Using the Bionic and the DX in the same way the Bionic was always around 50% for cell standby. My DX has been on for 13 hours and cell standby is only 9% of the drain.

My phone's battery has been on for 12h 24m since it was last charged and is at 70%.

40% of that 70% is from cell standby..... I dont have a problem with that. The 70% number is more important than the 40% number.

If I didn't touch my phone since I took it off my charger this morning then my battery would probably be around 90% with 90% discharge coming from cell standby.... again, I dont have a problem with that.

The battery level and the usage statistics have to be viewed in their own context and not together.

If you are getting bad battery life and you have an extended battery then you are doing something wrong or the battery is bad. Or you think you can stream movies all day. I get on mine all day long listening to music, calls, emails, checking the forums, YouTube. From 6am to 11pm and I have yet to make this phone die. If you are a light to medium user with an extended battery getting 10hrs or less then you have setting wrong or something running that needs to be turned off. Make sure your back out of everything, keep GPS and Bluetooth off unless you need it and keep tabs on your battery stats.that will show you if something is eating your battery that shouldn't be.

All the 4G LTE phones have less then wonderful battery life in my opinion. Battery technology has not been an important to our phones, or their manufacturers. Our phones are getting faster, more powerful yet, they are relying the same battery technology that has been used in phones for quite some time now.
