Returned my N8

I'm also active all the time and have no issue handling or carrying the device. I am a big guy however. I love the large size.

My wife has a 7 plus in a mophie battery case and she has no issue with hers either. But she does have a purse lol.

Either way there are plenty or devices out there. Hopefully you can find a device that suits you. Best of luck.

Yeah, this Note is pretty large.

Certainly not the easiest thing to use one-handed, and only a few jeans I have actually have pockets just deep enough for it.

I love my note 8, and so do the 6 other family members who purchased it also. WE LOVE the battery life and the large display!!

I always find comments about the size being too big interesting. I guess I've been so used to the larger phones, that to me (as as woman), I'll read comments, look at mine and wonder why people find it too big. I had Notes 2, 4 and Edge and when my Edge screen cracked around the time of Note 7, I went to the LG V20. After a day with my Note 8, I picked up my V20 and was amused at how bulky the V20 felt after a day. I don't find the Note 8 to feel or look particularly big to me for some reason.

How about the V30?

I'm actually giving serious thought to the V30 JUST for the DAC! If the price is right OR if it discounts quickly I might buy in. ;) Or maybe I'll trade my S8 for 1 with a dissatisfied V30 owner.

LG always discounts quickly since they seldom update.

Yep awesome phone! just one big problem that's right the phone is too big to carry, I use a belt clip and it's just to much felt like I was carrying a brick around.
So going to downgrade to sothing smaller that will fit my pocket.

I have read a few of these returned threads and the same question always comes to my mind. Do these people never go and try out a $1K phone at a store before they buy the phone.

Before I bought a Note 8 I went to Verizon and tried out the phone. I checked the size compared to my Note 4 and found I could easily work with the new Note 8. I generally keep my phone in my shirt pocket or my front jeans pocket. I would think an belt clip would be uncomfortable - but I have always disliked belt clips even back with flip phones.

Belt clip or pocket ,its just to big to pocket.

Completely disagree, this device fits fine in the pocket. Personally i use a belt clip and the device is not that heavy. Remember back when the original note came out. The notes 1-3 were annoying to put in a pocket. This one is thinner and lighter.

Hey some people understand what issues they may have with a phone they really like and want to live with... but spending a few minutes in a store and spending a few days doing your day-to-day is another thing and as much as you want to like it you just might not able able to live with it.

Just like people that buy convertibles or 2-seaters or stick-shift cars and then find out it doesn't fit their day-to-day like they wanted to. They try... and some make it work... some don't. I have a Z06 but only two seats and daughter makes 3... I solve that with a 3rd car... some can't.

I like the Note, but it is on the ginormous side and other concessions to live with like that FPS placement and maybe 1 or 2 other minor things. I like the rest of the phone to deal with it. I definitely don't want to be running 25-30 miles a week with it or moutain biking with a 2 sided glass slab... I'll keep my 6s for that. FPS really is in a stupid spot and have been bumping into that Bixby button with trying to use the FPS... I'll use the Iris.

It certainly is not a one size fits all phone and not for everyone.

I thought it was going to be too big coming from the s8 but after one day with it, I am already used to it and am really enjoying the extra screen real estate. Fits in my front pocket and I have a bulky case on. It's a little too tall but worth the trade off for that great screen and everything else that comes with it
