For a Galaxy S8 Plus... Honestly I should of got it from the beginning but I thought the s8 battery would be comparable. Love the size and form factor but 4-4:30 hours SOT isn't gonna cut it with heavy use. Didn't mean to troll with title just a thought for those considering one or the other if you value battery go with the plus.

For me, having owned an iPhone 7 Plus, it was a no brainer to get the s8+. More screen in a slightly smaller footprint. You won't be disappointed.

You'll be much happier. The s8plus is a beast and I love it! When I had the 7 edge I was always using my LG v20 instead, but this 8+..its awesome

You'll easily double that sot with the plus. I could have gotten 10 hours sot yesterday, but I had to go to bed. Granted I was on wifi the whole day. I still get 7-8 hours on an average day.

Forgot to add these.

I did the same today as well. It alleviated the few issues I had with the smaller S8. I can manage the FPS a lot quicker and easily and I like the heft a bit more. Plus typing is so much easier.

Don't know how you guys are getting that long of screen time. Lucky to get 4 to 5 hours using normally. Right now I'm at 40% left with almost 16 hours off the charger and just under 3 hours sot. Been home off work all day on wifi.

I'm actually thinking I made the right choice with the S8 instead of the Plus. This regular S8 is still bigger than my S6 so I'm having a bit of a learning curve getting used to it.

I went with the S8 since I had the 7plus and felt it was too much body for the screen size and swore I woild go smaller, so now I can get a big screen in a small phone and sent for it.

Same here. Ever since the Note 5 and iPhone 7 Plus, I prefer the bigger screens all day long.

It was a no brainer for me as well. Plus all the way!

You want a manly phone, get the S8+, its no bigger than Iphone 7Plus.

Do you have the s8 or plus?

Are you running fhd or qhd for resolution?

I've been running qhd since day one. On wifi all day I could easily get 10 hours. I am running a dark theme so that probably helps a little.

From the V20? Well it was a bit bigger but I love the 8+. Haven't touched the V29 since. Before, had the 7edge and the v20 and always used the V20

And you can use Samsung Pay again :D.

Debating about screen on time is always subjective and varies widely from person to person. Just because one gets 7 hours SOT doesn't mean every S8+ user will get that, same goes with someone getting low SOT. Just compare with your other devices you have or had previously and measure battery life based on how it fares with it in similar conditions, setting, apps, network etc

I have the s8 I'm getting 5 to 6 sot and 23 hrs usage with about 7% left ...its amazing how long u can stretch that last 7 %. I'm a heavy user no gaming tho
