Returned Note 4, BRING ON THE NEXUS 6

I also bought a Note 4 on launch day and returned it to Best Buy today. The screen and camera were amazing but the lag was the deal breaker. Lots of lag in the camera app and app switcher. Very annoying considering all the power that the hardware has. Much improved over the Note 3 and even the S5 but still not where a flagship device should be. Having owned all the nexus devices as well, I'm definitely looking forward to picking up a Nexus 6 for Verizon.
Exactly how I felt. I'm pre-ordering the Nexus 6 on play store tomorrow and getting sim card at AT&T when I get her.

Some other people are mocking me for dumping my Note 4 for the nexus 6 without a single review out for the nexus 6. . Why do I need a review to know I'm not happy with the note 4, and that a cleaner Android experience will likely be better and faster on the nexus 6?

Maybe you had a super note 3. My Note 3 lagged liked crazy until I rooted it, used titanium backup to erase all the bloatware AT&T and Samsung decided to add. I should not have to do that with any phone to enjoy it fully...

Does anyone know why it says discontinued by manufacturer ??

When you bought your Note 4, did you receive the $200 gift card from BB? If so, did you lose this amount when you returned the phone?

I'm considering buying the N6, but not sure what to do with my the Note 4. If I lose the $200 gift card, I'll probably keep the Note 4 and buy the N6 full price.

Yeah I did but the sales lady was stupid as hell. Said I didn't qualify for the $200 gift card, but then said I can still trade in the note 3, gave me like $250 for that, as a gift card. wtf?

I've already gone in great detail in the note 4 forum about what a crappy experience it was getting my Note 4 at best buy. Never again would I pre-order from them.

Guess I'll find out tomorrow when I go return the note 4 to BB

Giving up the Note 4 for the Nexus 6

Stock Android
Updates directly from Google
QHD screen
Dual speakers
All the stuff that made the Moto X a stand out

I like the Note 4, but I just can't pass up the Nexus 6 after reading so much about it. I don't too much care for having no micro sd card slot as 64gb will be more than enough storage for me.

Re: Giving up the Note 4 for the Nexus 6

Well that's great for you :)
For me, I'm sticking to the Note. I love the Stylus, the removable battery used to be a plus, but the battery lasts so long that I'm just not needing it anymore. Don't care much about SD either, as Samsung has fried quite a few cards in the past, so I just stopped using them hehe. But the Stylus, yeah, that's gotta be in there for me. Plus, it plays much nicer with my Samsung TVs and Tablet. So, I'm keeping my Note 4 and passing on the Nexus 6.

So many awesome choices. It's a good time to be an Android user! :D

Re: Giving up the Note 4 for the Nexus 6

I've been using the OnePlus One for the past few weeks and picked up a Note 4 to do a comparison. Outside of the stylus and the better screen, I found no reason to keep the Note. Battery life is about the same, but goodness touchwiz is still a dog...even on an 805. It's amazing how much faster the OPO is...especially doing little things like switching between hangouts (yes I realize that the hangouts software is not exactly FAST on any phone, but it's a dog in touchwiz). Given it's ridiculous cost compared to the OPO there was no way I was keeping mine. I'm sure the battle between the OPO and the N6 will be a little more even when it comes to speed.

The only question will then be...when will Cyanogen get their Lollipop version out???

Please do not post in a thread that you are reporting someone. The report alone is adequate. Posting that you are reporting someone distracts from the topic at hand

So many choices, but what won me over was Motorola doing the Nexus this time.

Well that's great for you :)

I like the Note 4, but it just seems like the Nexus 6 is the better phone to me especially with the dual speakers. About the closet thing we'll get to BoomSound that's not an HTC phone.

Re: Giving up the Note 4 for the Nexus 6

The biggest consideration for me will be the difference in camera performance between the Note 4 and the N6. I'm pretty happy with the camera quality on my Note 4. But if the N6 can come close, I'll definitely buy the phone.

Since you're not getting the nexus 6 ....i want you to go into the g3 motox motog etc thread and post to every single phone you're not going to get ....

Re: Giving up the Note 4 for the Nexus 6

I think SpookDroid's post fits fine within the context of this thread. It's essentially a conversation about Nexus 6 vs Note 4 and he's just on the pro Note 4 side, responding to the OP (there's already a three page thread on here about this though, so all of this conversation probably could've happened in there instead)

Edit: The thread's called "Returned Note 4, BRING ON THE NEXUS 6" for what it's worth, would link but can't until 10 posts

Am I allowed to say that I'm going to have both? Is that OK with you?

Re: Giving up the Note 4 for the Nexus 6

Kevin, that will cause a rip in the fabric of the space-time continuum. DON'T DO IT!

Re: Giving up the Note 4 for the Nexus 6

It amazes me how some can switch phones so fast, especially when not a single in-depth review or comparison video is even out.

My Note 3 from T-Mobile didn't lag. Still doesn't.. Sold it to a coworker. Wiped and updated it for him.. He's loving it.
