Returning for the GS2?

I have both, I bought a photon and since I work for sprint I got a gs2 free. I must say I like pretty much everything about my photon better first off the gs2 feels so cheap and is so big I feel like I am going to break it and it is hard to text on even with my Big hands. the screen resolution on the gs2 is a joke I feel like I am stick back in 1995 with the crazy low resolution on my computer screen and the super big icons. Don't like it at all. I do have to say that the camera on the gs2 blows are ****ty camera away I really am kinda jealous of that, but other than that my mopho is super fast no problems, and battery is great.

Thanks for the info. I'm working in Canada last week and this week, so haven't seen the large version yet, but the 4.3 non-US version seemed a bit cheaply made and "plasticy". I do like the Photon screen better - white & brighter and higher pixel density. I do have to wonder what Samsung was thinking with a low resolution on a large screen.

If the only thing you like better is the camera, that's good news to me. I'm a bit of a photo buff, so carry a high-end point and shoot with me when I travel. About all I use my phone's camera for is capturing whiteboards after meetings! :)

I traded in my Photon for S2 here are my observations:
...
Overall
S2 wins, if I needed a world phone might be different. The screen is a lot better on S2, especially at angles. I wish phone sound quality was better using my headset, its just as good as Photon without a headset. S2 UI is much better, just seems to flow better. :)

Glad you're happy with your decision. That's what's important, and it's great that there are a handful of top-end phones we can choose from! I'm happy with my new Photon, my wife loves her new (2 month-old!) EVO 3D, and I'll look at the S2 once back in the US - maybe I'll love it! A world phone is important (but not critical) to me, so that would be my tie-breaker.

Was at the Sprint store today and played with the S2. It's a very nice phone. It's large but thin. Screen has good colors. Construction is good, only cheap plastic feeling was the thin textured back cover. The phone appeared to run smoothly. I tried GPS and it struggled to get a signal. Overall, likely a great phone but I still prefer my Photon over it.

Yes, the S2 does feel very cheap and "plasticky". However, I do like the speed and the screen!

GPS issues is Samsung's calling card, i never did get my epic's gps system to work correctly.

Please tell me you are not going to judge a phone've it can't pick up gps indoors were there is no line of site for the sky.

I must say it is way faster than any of the 4 evo 3ds I had, but definitely as good as the photon gps.
