Returning my Nexus 7! :/

I am as well sorry to hear that you've had a bad experience with our tablet. It is really unfortunate that you had to return the units. In the future if you have any questions regards Asus or any of our products please feel free to contact me directly at cl-fred@asus.com.

I bought another Nexus yesterday. Decided to give it another try. I loved the N10, but it was too large to he truly portable for my needs. Will the N7 get a dock similar to the Transformer series? That would be ideal!

Am I the only one who is wondering whether the OP purchased (and is referring to) a Gen 1 Nexus 7? Screen bleed? Jerky touch? Sounds very much like the Nexus 7 2012 (screen bounce-back is the definition of Jerky to me). Obviously I can't know for sure without him stating either way, but that sounds like the 2012 to me in every way, and does NOT sound like the 2013 in any way. iJovan, are you sure you bought a 2nd Gen Nexus 7? Was it in a box blue with a retail price of either $229 or $269? Or was it in a dark grey box, and maybe on sale?

Considering you mainly use Apple products, you may not have been keen to the difference between the two. Or I'm wrong. It sounds like you added flash player, so you're clearly not a total noob ;)
But if you did get a 1st gen... take it back... and get a 2nd gen. Just upgraded yesterday, it's awesome.

EDIT: I do see that OP posted awhile back specifically stating he bought a New Nexus 7. I guess I was wrong, but WOW... that sure doesn't reflect my experience with my new Nexus.

Not a Samsung fan so this device fits a nitch, perfect size to hold, screen is gorgeous out of the box it has been pretty stable, but you always have tweak bleeding edge android :). Have multiple IOS devices but this is a keeper and will work well for my needs.

And yet it is easier to read on larger screen

Not for me. Tablets that are larger than 7" are bulky and you can't as easily hold and use them with one hand, and larger screens available at the moment all have significantly lower ppi than the Nexus 7. I'd never do any recreational reading on my laptop, for example. It's either an 6" frontlit e-ink reader, or the Nexus 7.

The only time a larger screen gives you a better reading/viewing experience is with PDFs. But who reads novels as PDFs?

I like an 8" screen size.

Wow. How's your eye sight? Because if you think the 8.0 is better than the Nexus 7 it must not be very good. The nexus 7's screen is better in every way.

it is NOT better in everyway at all. it is clearer and and a bit sharper, but the color reproduction is not nearly as accurate as the Samsung.for overall user experience I would have to say that the Samsung gt3 8.0 has the "better" screen. I think it is a better tablet overall as well.

Not sure where you figured that out, but for me, the nexus 7 blows the tab away in sharpness, clarity, and color accuracy.

Fred,
You have some nerve posting on this forum this late in the game of N7 2013 problems.

By the way the Asus Cube is a useless brick. Oh wait, that's not a question about the N7.

Why does screen input on the N7 2013 delay so much that I can't play games like Granny Smith?
Why didn't you include an OTG cable with the device?
Why is my power button flush with the side and nearly impossible to push?
Why does the camera on the back use a light sensor that faces the front to adjust the exposure?

I have lots more 'questions' for you.
I hope your e-mail gets flooded.
