Reverse tethering??

OK, maybe I've got it: Are you trying to connect the Evo to a 2nd cellular phone via BT? Not sure I know how to do that.

Yes, you got it. It could be via BT or USB. The thing is that the phone with the Internet connection isn't the EVO, so the EVO has to tie to the phone somehow. Nokia did it successfully with their Maemo OS Internet tablets. I just wonder why Android didn't think of it. It's a cool idea because you aren't restricted to your EVO carrier's data network--or plan. You can use any phone or mobile broadband dongle you like.

Did anyone ever figure this out. This is exactly what I would like to do too.

Sprint doesn't work in a lot of countries. I would like to connect my Android HTC Evo to my 3G SIM card phone (running Windows Mobile 6.1), which has the "Internet Sharing via Bluetooth PAN" capability.

But, my EVO can't seem to connect. I need some app that will let the EVO be a Bluetooth PAN Client.

The only solution I have come up with--and I haven't tried it yet--is to connect a Cradlepoint 3G/4G wi-fi router to a phone with PAN and then use the wi-fi on the EVO to connect to the Cradlepoint. Zoom also make a 3G router but I think it needs a Broadband dongle.

Not sure what your asking but my Epic wirelessly connects to any wifi. I hookup to my roadrunner broadband through my linksys wireless router anytime I'm home. Smoking fast on my Epic....

Creating a simple ad-hoc WiFi network with the build-in network manager in Windows will suffice. I've done that many times. :)
