Good to know! I also believe being on a MVNO (US Mobile) is also affecting my data connection. I will be jumping onto a T-Mobile post paid Magenta plan here in a couple days and after I get this update I hope my issues are fixed. I am currently on US Mobile under T-Mobile's GSM LTE and haven't received the 4.1 update yet and plan to wait to update once I get under an actual T-Mobile plan.
Honestly, I have SO HAPPY with T-Mobile it's not even funny.
- AT&T with 6 lines (2 device payments for $50/mo total included) - Over $460/mo
- Sprint with 6 lines (2 device payments for $60/mo total included) - Just over $390/mo
- T-Mobile with 6 lines (no device payments, just the plan) - $185/mo and has not changed in almost a year of having this plan other than a $3/mo raise because I pay extra for my Netflix Plan over what they cover per month (this was when Netflix upped their plan prices, so was not a T-Mobile charge).
Now, I also want to note that I am the Military Magenta Max plan being a Veteran, so you may pay a little more, but I love how their bills are very easy to understand, they give you a chart EVERY bill cycle to tell you WHY your bill changed (if it does at all) and I have not had any issues with things that I can attribute to being a carrier issue. The connectivity issues I was complaining about before the 4.1 update are now proven to be a DEVICE issue and not an issue with my carrier.
Oh, for disclosure, I do have a device payment on my T-Mobile plan ($35/mo), but I also get a $35/mo device credit because of a deal on the device.
All in all, I just have to say that this is my second time with T-Mobile (the first time was when I worked for T-Mobile Corporate) and I have no plans on changing.
