Yeah, he has done it a bunch of times before and then removed it.

Yeah....I don't care for his videos....it's mostly the same results. Gorilla Glass will always scratch the same for any given number. The bend test is OK to determine durability but he applies a lot of strength to get the bend. The lighter test is usually the same results.

If you're going to trash a phone I'd rather see a drop test or a water test. I know a lot of people enjoy his videos and others believe that his tests add value. To each his own....it's not my thing.

Yeah I was just referring to the cameras because for some that seems to be a major factor. I agree with your take on the photos but was speaking in general terms because some like brighter pictures or punchy colors. I don't have any issues with the Pixel from a hardware perspective, however from a marketing stand point they could have beefed up the specs. Their focus seems to be the camera and AI learning. I'm thinking and hoping that the HTC design team has some positive influence. I don't want to stray too far off topic but I'm hoping that they go away front the front firing speakers to increase display. I know some people are die hard FFS fans but I think dual top and bottom are adequate and then we can get rid of the chin and less wasted space up top for more notifications.

Google nailed the camera software. I hope they do beef up the hardware

Nice review.....I agree the colors are too warm out of the box....at least that's what I found with the display model so I wasn't impressed with screen. The whites were not white. I noticed it more because I was comparing it the Pixel. I knew in the back of my mind that it's adjustable but I didn't have time to play around with it. I'm surprised they make that the default setting. I think Samsung did a great job.
Would like to see faster updates still.

VW....where you have been lately?

I've been spending a year dead for tax purposes. ;) ;)

But seriously folks, I had not see a review with the word "pragmatic" in it. Thought it was interesting.
The word and the review.

Mav.

Impressive detailed review.

The photos comparisons are really great. I tend to like more natural shots but side by side it's hard me to pick which one I like better. Looking at each one by itself l think they are both great so for me it's splitting hairs. If cameras are your prime motive in choosing a device you can't go wrong.

I thought you hated everything not pixel? 🤔

Not at all. There are certain things I won't buy and certain things I like better but I never slam anything, especially in it's entirety. I will state what I what I don't like about something. Reality is though that my choices are primarily limited by carrier and I'm OK with that.

I do take the time point out when someone generalizes or makes statements that are unproven or incurrate about Pixels and the I do that with other brands as well. I even like the iPhone to a point and have to use it for work.

Samsung is normally not at the top of my list and there are still certain things I don't like but they did a great job with the S10 series. I still don't see it as my preferred device but I'm willing to entertain it as a second device, especially with the new skin and I like some of the colors though I typically don't buy based on appearance. That's not to say it's not worthy of being a primary device. It absolutely is and if it I wasn't all in on the Pixel and some of it's accessories already I might have jumped on it from day one.
