Reviews of the S4 and how it effects your opinion of the One

The price for poorly executed toggles

FTFY ;)

Toggles can, and have been, executed without lag. There are a number of widgets available in the Play Store that will implement toggles without lag, and CM10/10.1 implement toggles natively with zero issues. This is just bad execution on Samsung's part.

The short answer is that it doesnt. I am happy with my decision to get the HTC one. After going from the s1-3 with a quick stop with the note 2 and gnex I am tired of Samsung phones. I've had more phones than I can count on both hands and this is the first one that packs a great user experience with a great design and a clearly thought out goal. I loved the design of the iPhone 5 along with it's screen but hated ios. I now have an Android phone that's more flexible has a great design great screen processor and a coherent design philosophy when it comes to the ui. No the battery life and camera aren't the best thing since sliced bread. But they are both more than acceptable. Every phone has a trade off some would rather trade unibody design for a removable battery and sdcard slot. Find you comprise and live with it. For instance I couldn't compromise one handed usability for the notes size and battery life so I switched.

I came from a Blackberry 7100t if anyone even knows what that is so I would've been happy with either phone. Either way, I'm glad I picked the One because I like Sense over TouchWiz (although they both have their quirks), the screen is amazing, it looks cool, and the sound out of the speakers is head and shoulders above any other phone out. It's also nice to get it unlocked and rooted from the start. I'm sure the GS4 is amazing, though. Might have to try my friend's (who will most certainly get one soon).
