Hmm, let me take the verge review for example...

Best looking android smartphone and best feel in the hand. Also fastest android phone he has ever used. Also similar battery life to the M8....

That makes it better than the S6 in my books - Adam

Yes, we all know iVerge hates Samsung and tries to promote other OEMs.

Considering OBJECTIVE measurements place that M9 below M8, it's hard to take Verge's review seriously, as the real hardcore numbers show that the author's estimations about the device are incorrect.
Hell, the Verge talks about having such a great display, yet Anandtech said the display is actually a downgrade.
The Verge is not an objective review, so their review has less weight than other, more technically competent reviewers.

Other reviewers have said the S6 Edge was the "sexiest" phone ever and it even garnered acknowledgement from Apple fans who hated Samsung.
David Ruddock of AP said that the S6 is the best-feeling device ever.
We'll have to see about fastest Android phone. I predict it has more to do with animation speed/lack of animations in Sense 7 than it does with TW feeling slow.
You can just go to the developer options and speed up animation speed.

Saying there is no improvement, and somewhat worse in some areas, is getting panned imo

I have to agree. American reviewers tend to inflate scores to appease manufacturers. The European reviewers are more objective and tend to give out appropriate scores like tweakers.net.

Notice how all the American reviewers gave the M9 scores of 8-8.7 without giving solid numbers like battery life. Instead, they give out some nebulous, "Similar to M8 battery life" and leave it at that, when GSMArena shows it's worse than the M9.
European reviewers go in-depth and they give the M9 scores of 6-7.

I wouldn't expect anything else from you than to cherry pick the most negative reviews out there.

In your opinion, it's better. That's fantastic. I hope you enjoy your M9, but you are wrong to assume I've been emotionally invested in these 2 phones.
I've said before that this year is a dud in terms of battery life for all OEMs, even Samsung, and it looks like I am correct. I will wait for next year's offerings.

I've noticed you are really pro HTC and anti-Samsung
Your opinion is subjective, its good you feel that the HTC M9 is better than the S6, but other people will say otherwise

I am not anti-Samsung at all, I just want to let the Samsung fans that seem to frequent the M9 forums to spread negative news know that they have come to the wrong place - Adam

I admit that I think the S6 Edge is the most attractive smartphone out there, but to say I am a Samsung fan is inaccurate.
I am objective and I give praise where it is due and criticism where it is due. The S6/S6 Edge are exceptional phones except in battery life, and I routinely criticize Samsung and the S6/S6 Edge for having slightly worse battery life than the S5. However, its battery life is still better than the competition despite being a bit worse than the S5.
The M9, on the other hand, has quite a bit more faults like the camera, screen and battery life. So naturally, of course I'd be more harsh on htc and the M9 than on Samsung and its S6.

So disappointed. Was really looking forward to the M9. Not really sure what HTC was thinking in terms of how they've handled things prior to release. Half baked optimizations and camera software. The fact that Andantech got an update so late that they have to do a two part review also doesn't speak well for HTC. Why provide review units with badly flawed software? Its not a good look.

Fooof this is depressing. After having such a good experience with the M7 I'm shocked that I'm now considering the S6.

After reading the Anandtech review, I decided to cancel my preorder. I am disappointed by the battery life and the display. I don't care about the camera as much.
I guess, the M8 will have to do for the moment..

HTC one M9 here I come yeah baby. I shall do my own test and see if it fits for me I have 14 days so. We shall see. Its nice looking at all these reviews and get a general idea. I am my own person and that is the only review that counts

You know HTC always start off slow then they refine their phones, I think you would have been just peachy with the M9. Actually the S6 worries me, looking at Samsung's track record everything starts off fast in the beginning then slows down even their radios go to the pooper so the S6 I wouldn't trust not to say you are.
