Rezound battery fits the ThunderBolt for $19.99

Fed ex left a note on my door that they can't leave package unless they have my signature. Damn. Thought I would be charging tonight. Will hope for tomorrow :(

Anytime a package comes from Verizon you have to sign. Now that you know this just leave a note authorizing with your signature. And they will

Oh ya, I forgot to add that it shipped in a box big enough for basketball shoes, and was starting to get irritated about Rediculous overpackaging, then it dawned on me that with all that extra power, it needed that huge box to hold it all in.

LOL. Thanks for the laugh

I ordered rezound regular, and the TB extended. Both arrived this morning. Only tried the extended so far. VERY happy with it. Size is not as GIANT as I expected, that is such a plus. BTW ordered the charger only. opened the box and flipped out. Found nothing in it at first glance. they have a preformed cardboard holder. It appeared empty. shook box nothing. I then slid the cardboard out and found charger in the back of it in a little 1/2" recces LOL, such a big box, guess I expected bigger ( I know , that's what she said:p )

9.5 hrs off charger, 70% batt left. Multiple calls and texts, 40 min of internet surfing, checked news, weather, and streamed 2+ hrs of pandora. So far so good. A noticeable improvement.

I noticed today that my temp. got up to 104.3 while playing cut the rope. Rooted, but running stock. Seems a bit hot. Anyone having issues with the Rezound battery running warmer than the stock Tbolt battery? Phone has been idle for around 40 minutes now: 83.3 degrees.

My battery hasn't showed up yet but I'd be interested to hear if anyone can confirm or deny higher temps. Do you have a case on the phone? If so, what type?

I have the stock, rubber sleeve type case and I have not noticed any temp differences with the new battery. It's a definite improvement over the stock TB batt.

My results so far.

First charge...
Bump charged the battery (3 times)
It lasted 15:47:10 total time
3:42:10 of wake time (actual usage)
I plug the phone in with 9% of charge left
About 8 hours was on WiFi the other 7+ hours was on 4G.

Second charge
Bumped charged (2 times)
00:32:37 total time
00:12:42 wake time
99% left
All WiFi so far.....

I did not notice any change in temperature in the battery or phone during my usage. This seems to be a much better battery.

I use the Sedio Surface with and without the CONVERT. I haven't noticed any higher temps at all.

Got mine yesterday, but I was so busy that I forgot to put it in and charge it! Thanks OP for finding this.

ok were can i find this? checked verizon site and its $39.99. i get a discount to be $29.99
edit:
ok that is WEIRD, logged into my account and went to purchase the battery $39.99 with my 25% off comes to $29.99. continue the check out to see if it will drop to $19 and DOES NOT. still $29.99+tax.
logged out of my account searched battery, shows $39.99, clicked check out and it drops to $19.99.
when logged into my account i can have them bill me for it, which i would like to do. wonder why its different?

Because your corporate percentage off over rides the stores discount. When ever your signed in with your account it will always apply your discount instead of the other. Its so you don't get a double discount.

thanks guys, picked up one... now I kinda wish I hadn't bought a spare battery 4 months ago! ah well, now I have 2 spares!

Normally I'd agree with this, but in this case, it appears that the Rezound battery has the same power output, fits in the slot with the existing case, and is made by the same OEM -- seems like a very low-risk, high reward finding.

I've been using the batter from the HTC Imagado in my original Droid Incredible (same deal: same connections, slightly greater mAh) for almost a year and a half with zero issues, but yes in general you don't want to do this kind of thing.

I've got two of the HTC Merge batteries at 1500mAh. Work fine.

Going on my 4th day with mine. A definite and noticible improvement. It's not like it makes it a new phone or anything, but I was about to purchase a spare battery anyway and (no offense to others), I think the extended battery looks horrible and takes away from the phones ability to slip into pockets and etc.
I am a moderate user. Calls, web surfing, face booking. Lots of texting and email with some forums and games here and there. Occasional youtube stuff. I'll charge the phone over night and start using it around 6am. So far, I'll go 12 hours and still have 60% or more left at the end of the day. I can bring it down ito the 50s if I am using it into the evening. Again, not a power user, but I am doing something on the phone at least every hour and often times more.
I think the phone/battery still needs to calbrate itself though. For example, I've been up for an hour and a half and that's when I unplugged the phone. The phone has seen about 15 mins of solid use. checking email, checking weather and stuff while making breakfast for my kids. It still shows 100% Then late yesterday, I had a drop of like 10% in an unusually short period of time.
I have not noticed any temp issues.
Thanks to the OP. I was going to buy another stock sized battery anyway. Even at the $29.99 I ended up payng for this it was well worth it to me.

UPDATE: Not that anyone cares, but I am stock, unrooted on the GB OTA.

just my $0.02
