Ok so I have a resound that's unlocked and permanently rooted. I installed clockwork recovery. I installed the newer ota update that is included in a factory ota zip.

Here's what's wrong with the phone. I will download all my apps that I had before. Set ky phone up the way I like. Then, when I power the phone all The way off. When I power the phone back on it bootloops.

So then I have tofactory reset, setup install all apps again, presonalize my phone, then when I power down the phone I I'm stuck in a boot loop again. Forcing ne to factory reset again. So basically anytime I pull the battery or I shut down the phone, I have to perform a factory reset
Any suggestions?

What I've tried that didn't help. Install the back cover. Delete the on86img folder from memory card. Changing settings under power and uncheck marked fast boot.

If all it takes is a factory reset, then you have an issue with /data or something in your cache. Try doing your factory reset reboot then not installing anything and make sure it doesn't loop on a power down/battery pull. If it's all good then you know it's an app you've installed doing it to you. Alternatively try installing the OTA rooted ROM.

The same thing happened to me. I thought it was one of my apps or CleanRom that was doing it. Mine would have no service then start the bootloop. I was looking around on another forum and found this fix out there.

**Bootlooping Network Problem FIX INSIDE** - Android Forums

I tried it and it has worked so far. It was driving me crazy trying to figure it out but so far it is working just fine.

I love this post. Worked like a charm. Verizon needs to address this asap. I bet 100's of rezound are being taken back for exchange over this simple fix. Thank you. My phone is perfect now.

Glad it worked. It is nice not worrying about turning the phone off and not knowing if it is got start or go into a bootloop. Just passing information along.

I had returned a Rezound before I read what the fix was and, of course, no one at Verizon had ever heard of any such boot looping issue on the Rezound. Big surprise there. I heard the fix works for a lot of folks but not for all. Great phone otherwise though.
