Rezound vs Galaxy Nexus

I would suggest that you actually go into the VZW store when you have some time. Take some time to actually play with the Rezound. The Rezound has a completely different OS than the GN does. You might like the Rezounds Sense UI. The Rezound will be a little bit more refined of a user experience because of Sense UI and the fact that the OS it is using has been around for more than a year. The GN is using a brand new OS which has only been in use for weeks.

I agree. I think the rezound is cool but I'm just over sense because I came from an evo 4g, then used a evo 3d, and now stock android isn't actually just flat out ugly to me anymore. Out of all the skins I still like the look of sense so it may be something your totally fine with. Plus HTC has really improved their screen quality. Try it u may like it. Its a great phone, I had one because I had to rent it because they almost gave me a galaxy nexus before release date. Liked it but it just didn't feel like anything new in my eyes coming from the other phones I had.

I think that they are referring to your signature.

Its my personal opinion. Its like a butt hole. Everyone has one. Funny some have to take shots to make them feel better about their purchase. I never said the rezound isn't a great phone. Its just not for me. Specially coming from an evo 4g and then evo 3d. I'm over sense and I'd rather not flash roms just yet.

I will go tomorrow and actually play with the rezound a little longer than I did the first time. I can't say that i will think sense is ugle because to me it will be a new experience.

As my first droid I guess I am looking for a more refined OS being that I will not be digging into rooting at first.

Sense on the Rezound is great, fast, and not laggy at all. If you don't want the bloatware, use cleantool to get rid of it, but the new Sense is really great. It's as smooth as ICS on the Galaxy Nexus.

I had a G Nex for 2 weeks. I wound up exchanging it for a Rezound.

In less than 2 days it already did better than the G Nex for 4G reception. It and my RAZR can get 4G in my apt...something the G Nex couldnt do on 4.0.3 radios. They both get 4G quicker in my area, which is a weak, bad reception area. 4.0.3 radios did improve 3G reception tho. But....3G reception is already nice on the Rezound, no updates. Both the G Nex and Rezound had better 3G reception in my apt. vs. my RAZR. 1st devices...no exchanges. Is it my luck that I got a bad G Nex and a good working RAZR and Rezound?

;)

Depends on what you want, where you live, hang out. For me...I choose and recommend the Rezound.... just based on reception alone.

I often wonder what the GN could've been if they would've put in more elbow grease into radio coding before they released it on LTE. It's pretty lame, how so many GN owners have returned the phone for another device, due to the radios. I hope Google learned something from this whole event & put it to use on the next Big Red bound Nexus.

Exactly. You couldn't go wrong with any of them, but it just depends on what you want.

Kind of amusing. At least when explaining it you state that it's your personal opinion, but outside of that it appears as if your signature states it as a fact. Perhaps that is what he was getting at.

Thank you for pointing this out, although he'll likely label you a Rezound fanboy for it. I tried to explain why that statement could be taken as abrasive to some people in an earlier thread a couple weeks ago. Only to discover he was equally abrasive about the subject being brought up to him, for some reason.

Its my signature based on my experience. Hint the reason its my signature lol.. Its your interpretation that its a fact. I never came in and bashed the rezound. So its not my fault u guys take it personally. Your sig could say "the rezound, the best phone on the planet." I'm totally fine with that because that's your opinion and I'm comfortable with my purchase. Maybe I'm just not as sensitive as you guys. Am I supposed to change my signature because you guys don't like it. Lol awwwww sorry I'm not.. Really who cares these are phones. People are way too uptight about a material thing like a phone. Truthfully I could care less about someone else's signature. We have different opinions and taste which is why there isn't just one android phone for all.. I just find it funny that some are soooo upset when #1 there is no trolling going on. #2 I'm discussing the topic at hand.

It's certainly your opinion, but the English language can be a very exacting one. Especially when in text form without context clues or tone to differentiate actual meanings of words versus intended meanings. In this manner your signature is literally saying that the GN is "the best phone ever" and makes no reference of that being based upon your opinions. You've stated as definitive fact what is only your own opinion. Without the additional context clues you've provided in your posts, no one is incorrect in comprehending your signature as a stated fact that the GN is "the best phone ever". Perhaps changing it to "the best phone I've ever owned" would be better. As well that way you won't be shamed next year when a new phone comes out and puts everything we have to shame.

This is my last post about my signature. But if we want to get technical. Your stating that my signature is saying literally in your words "You've stated as definitive fact what is only your own opinion." The definition of fact is this. A thing that is indisputably the case. The way that I state it cannot make it be made into a fact because a fact is indisputably the case. Right? Like 4 is the answer to 2 plus 2... That's a fact... You cant dispute that. If it was indisputably the case we would all have a galaxy nexus. Therefore, making it an opinion no matter how I put it in my signature. As I stated it seems to me some are sensitive and interpreting it in their own way. Just saying.......

Took everyones advice and here I am a new proud rezound owner. Now I have some questions not sure if I should post them here but I'm sure someone will tell me that they don't belong here.

Being that I am a New droid user I guess I got to play around with ICS and now have sense and was able to customize my phone a little different with the nexus, but being that I don't really know the difference in these UI's I need some help again.
I was able to set different ringtones and notifications for SMS and my different e-mail accounts. If I'm not mistaken here on the rezound all your e-mail accounts have to have the same sound is that correct.
Second issue for me is at night i would manually turn off my e-mail notification sounds in settings and leave on my sms and phone. Not sure how to do this now on the rezound.I don't see a silent option in these notifications. Lastly I was able to customize the font size to very large on the nexus I can't find the setting for font size on the phone at all.
Any help would be so appreciated

TIA

I don't have any answers for your 3 questions but this PDF user's guide HTC Mobile Phone Support - HTC Rezound might be helpful as well as the regulars here in the forum.

I don't have a rezound u have the nexus. I did have an incredible which was running gingerbread and sometimes sense. I don't believe you get that level of control with the rezound as you do the nexus without third party apps. I could be wrong. Emails all same sound as with texts. Ringtones are different I believe. Someone with more intimate knowledge of the device will help you out. Sit tight and welcome to the world of android and this great site.
