Android Central Question

My Samsung Galaxy Note9 was recently updated to Android 9 (One UI). Since then, I can barely hear the App Alert Tones on the Ring (Always Home) App. It appears that the volume on the Tones is graduated (like an clock alarm). But, since they are so short in duration, the full volume is never attained and thus I can barely hear the notifications. It doesn't matter how loud I set the Notification volume on my phone. All other apps work fine relative to the volume of notifications. Any ideas? BTW, the App worked fine prior to update and continues to not work after T-Mobile pushed an update to the Android 9. I contacted Ring and they haven't had this problem reported. Likewise, for T-Mobile.

Same thing for me, I noticed that I couldn't hear the ring notifications lately, though I thought it was because I changed the notification sound to a new one (Ring New or something like that…). However I think it's a ring issue and not a Samsung issue : I have the ring app installed on a noname tablet and this one is supposed to make a little windy sound when someone is passing in front of the doorbell and I don't hear it (I'm only hearing the ring chime device now…)
