I'm going on a Caribbean cruise in the next couple days, and I was just wondering about roaming charges on my cell phone. My contract says that I have unlimited international texting included with it, but I'm not sure how that works with roaming charges and whatever else that might affect it. In short I don't want to get home and find that i have a huge bill. We're flying down to Florida tonight, so if anyone could give me an answer soon, I'd really appreciate it!
P.s, I'm with virgin mobile, and i live in Canada!

Here in the US Virgin doesn't do roaming period and there are no contracts. Things are obviously different up there!

Since most of us are in the US here maybe you'll have better luck asking Virgin directly. I'm not sure we'll be able to answer your question here.

Good luck!

OK a boat is in the water and there are no land based antenna in the water. Unless ur cruise is staying near the coast expect to be using the ships relay which requires roaming and that is not supported by VM devices. To explain what "unlimited international texting included" means: When you are in regular service range (non-roaming) you can text people in other nations free of additional charges. Roaming is not included or even possible.
