[ROM] - 1/28 - CleanROM GBE 1.6 - Base: OTA 2.01.605.11

And I agree, it DOESN'T IMPROVE BATTERY LIFE. And my post did NOT state so.

HOWEVER, I believe it will give you a more accurate picture of what your battery life truly is, after making a change to a new ROM. Eventurally it will catch up, but if you continually update ROMS then clearing and starting fresh with stats will give you a more accurate reading, quicker.

Put away your pitchforks and sythes, Frankenstein is already dead.

Do it or don't not like I give a chit.

The battery stat file is used by the system to report what's using your battery...nothing more. Nobody's coming after you directly...just the wipe battery stats myth.

Has anyone noticed som lag with the 1.7 rom? I'll click on a text field and it takes about a good 2-3 sec to come up this would be the slideit program testing with the swype program and it fires up very very quick...cant even say 1

Mine does that sometimes, but only with some apps curiously. Usually in a browser search window, but not with mail (Touchdown) or messaging (Handcent).

Livable though with the 1.7 benefits. And I just noticed that Scott gave us Dock mode and Car Pane (they weren't on the 1.5.5)l, didn't notice on the download page from his site.

Deep breath man...like Mr. Smith said I wasn't coming for you and I don't even own a pitchfork or a scythe.

If you want to wipe your stats wipe away. I was merely (and with a lighthearted feel hence the *cough cough*) letting people know wiping the stats may not do what people think it does.

Can another CleamROMer help me out? Is anyone having force close issues on Navigation?
It force closes when I type in an address and hit search, and also whenever I flip the phone to view it in landscape. On top of this, whenever I avoid the two prior situations, the GPS never seems to lock. My girlfriend's DInc had to get us to where we were going, because my Rezound went 20 minutes without finding my location.

GPS lock is solid for me. The Navigation flipping of phone does force close the App. I was able to type in the address just fine though

Then this sucks. Just 2 weeks ago I managed to use GPS just fine. Suddenly, it's pure garbage. I've cleared data and uninstalled updates, then reinstalled. Still nothing.

Are you using stand alone and google services or one / the other??

With 1.7 using nav app directly or with the car panel I've not had a problem with the nav or the GPS.

Hmm, you felt it was lighthearted (or *cough* *cough* tongue in cheek or whatever).

Came across as a bit snobby or know-it-all. Our sense of humors vary.

Meh, doesn't matter. I clear my batt stats after every ROM upgrade. IMO, after a week or so of use the battery level readings are more accurate. Just my experience.

Doesn't do anything for battery life, there are other threads on that.

Yes sir. I usually use Standalone and it worked well, except for now. I gave Google services a shot, but still nothing.
I'm running CleanROM 1.6.5, so maybe this version has issues? I've yet to come across anyone complaining about GPS on it, though, so I suspect I'm an isolated incident.
Enough toying and moving around should get a GPS to lock eventually, I'm assuming. But I have no clue as to why it force closes as soon as I hit the search magnifying glass icon.

Trust me man, if there's one thing I'm sure of it's that I don't know it all.

I know that this is an old thread AND I know that the may 9th release is rumor. But if I'm running the 1.7 version and the ICS offical comes out will i be able to update without issues or will i have to revert to offical GB and watch it update

yet to be seen but I am sure that scott will have the next version of cleanROM out within a day or two and you can flash that....
