Don't tell me that this ROM is dead! :'(

Since we are (apparently) still a month or two away from an official update from LG, I've been checking this thread religiously hoping to find a new version...

I also wanted to report two (minor) bugs in sROM:

1. Phantom touching. I'll touch an email at the top of the phone and it selects on from the bottom. Doesn't happen often, but it is quite annoying.

2. When taking pictures and then sending them as MMS, the pictures often get turned 90 degrees. The only way (I've found) to fix the issue is to crop the photo THEN rotate, as simple rotate doesn't work.

I'm also keeping my fingers crossed for an update that totally removes CarrierIQ!

• Must be on VD baseband!
• Must have custom recovery installed

Flashing Instructions

• Place ROM on SD Card
• Reboot into recovery
• Wipe data
• Flash ROM
• Reboot and enjoy!

Noob question caveat! Hi...noob here about to try to install this ROM. I've rooted successfully, and have Xionia recovery installed. Did a Titanium Backup and nandroid flash backup. After going through all 19 pages, still left feeling a bit vague on proceeding (again, I'm a noob in the learning/experimentation process). Wanted to confirm some info on the install steps before proceeding:
- 1. Place ROM on SD card: Do I place on the root of the SD card (i.e. /sdcard)?
- 3. Wipe data: In Xionia, do I just the do the "wipe data/factory reset" option only or also "wipe cache partition" option as well?
- 4. Flash ROM: In Xionia, is this the "install zip from SD card" option?

Non-flaming responses always appreciated, but will take my licks if posted in the wrong area. Thanks in advance.

You can put the zip file anywhere becasue you can browse to the zip file from Xionia.

Wipde data/factrory reset is good enough, also wipe dalvik cache

Also, you may want to sync your Google contacts and/or backup your phone contacts before wiping anything.

Yes, the "factory reset" here mostly wipes just the /data partition. I tend to do both that and the cache wipe to be sure I've done both. As telemike mentioned, be sure to wipe your dalvik-cache as well. This is found under the Advanced menu in your custom recovery.

Correct. BTW, the reason we suggest putting the ROM zip file in the root of the SD card is so that it is easy to find from here.

When you boot into any new ROM the first time, it will take a considerably long time before it comes up. Don't panic. Also, once you have a home screen, be sure to give it 10-15 minutes to settle before doing anything.

That would be sweet. In the meantime, you can permanently disable it yourself by removing the apk files, then installing one of jstnp's compatible themes or just patching your framework.

I didn't like it, so it is dead to me

So far I am liking this ROM, but I am having one problem that I am hoping someone can help me with. After installing the ROM I noticed a few apps needed updating (gmail, maps, google search, youtube, etc). Every one of these apps is by Google and when I go into Google Play it says the app is installed and has an update, but when I click update I get the following error: "Your order is processing, your item will be available in a few minutes." The problem is they never download or update. It's been several hours now. Any ideas?

EDIT: Nevermind. I cleared the cache and data for Google Play and now all is well.
