[ROM][2.3.3][ZVJ] GingerRom v1.3 -4/14/12-

The Extended Power Menu that I did broke the regular shut off (causing reboot instead). Looking for a fix, I am testing now. For now simply pull battery if you need it off.

Oh noes! I'll look into that as well, I did the power menu mod for HydroROM.

EDIT: One thing you can also do is decompile android.policy.jar and IIRC services.jar and diff HydroROM and gROM. Should give you an exact way of coding it. I hope that made sense lol

I was restoring my backup without the power mod while you were typing and it shutsdown correctly. Now I am re-installing the power mod, cause once you use it you never want to go back to stock :D

I found it, it was within framework.jar I missed changing the lone 0 to a 2 LOL

Somehow it seems funny that something so small could have such stange consequences. I tested the fix, then signed the zip.

ATTENTION Ginger Rom 1.3 Extended Power Menu
This is an addon for Ginger Rom 1.3 that adds the extended power menu to the shut down procedure. A HUGE thanks to jstntp for his support and suggestions on getting me thru this. Also major props to Drew for his work on getting this to work on HydroRom, without that I wouldnt have been able to figure out how to make the necessary changes. This has been updated to v6 as I had to fix the Power Off option and I signed it while I was at it. Again updated to v7 to fix recovery icon size, thanks jstntp!! I did resign it too. This should be the last change. I messed up recompiling, so had to do it again LOL. It is now PowerMod.signed.zip As long as you are on 1.3, simply boot to recovery, wipe cache/dalvik cache, and flash powermod5.zip

I didnt mod anything in services.jar. I only modded framework-res.apk, android.policy.jar, and framework.jar. And I followed like 5 different guides as well as using the compare plugin for notepad ++ to compare the differences between hydro and ginger roms. In the end, although I knew everything I had to do, it was that comparison with hydro that did it. BTW, do you know what all files you modded for your power control mod? If it is a "trade secret" no prob, but there are no guides that I can find for such a mod.

EDIT: Just did another quick update to make the icon for recovery the same size as the other icons. The rest are at 32x32 and I had recovery icon at 48x48. No real reason to update, except cosmetic reasons LOL. I updated all previous links too. Made another mistake in compiling so I udated it again.

ok flashed the power mod and hydrokernel GB latest and the PowerAmp app force closes all the time. Everything else is cool but that app. Stock music player is no problem. Gonna uninstall and re-install and see if I get the same issue

looks like everything is back to normal after the re-install of poweramp. Thanks!

Oh god, I don't even remember which files were modded exactly. But it was definitely a big PITA. I did have some help from a couple guides I found as well as a very helpful github repository. I'll try to look those up for you.

EDIT: This is my 2,000th post! Huzzah!

EDIT 2: Found the github repository, but it doesn't include the brightness slider. Everything is (IIRC) in SystemUI.apk. Here's the repository: https://github.com/pvyParts/TEAM-Stock

The brightness slider is actually pretty easy, but the positioning of the elements is a major pain in the butt. Definitely do a diff comparison between HydroROM and gROM for the notification power widget mod, because the one in Hydro uses a newer QuickSettings framework than the TEAM Stock one.

This might help as well: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1559498

Word to the wise: you may encounter a similar mod known as Lidroid. Don't use it.

PowerMod is kicking our ROM MOD butts!! lol.....its still not working for me on gingerrom... when you select to Power off, it just reboots. :( so for now I will just use quick boot:-\ (buying all the DEVs a drink to help with the pain)

my phone still reboots when power off is pressed, not that big of a deal though. Thanks for all your hard work

I read the instructions, but should i flash the Debug-FORMATSYSTEM.zip before anything else like MIUI + CM7?

Sure that's not a bad idea. FYI to everyone - wiping system from the mounts and storage section of recovery is the same as flashing the debug-formatsystem.zip.
