[ROM][4.1.1][AOSP] JellyButt-v2.4 - JRO03L [8/25/12]

Re: [ROM][4.1.1][AOSP] JellyButt-v2.3 - JRO03L [8/22/12]

Yeah, they are not able to be changed from settings like other roms. This feature will probably not be added. Basically looking to keep this build simple and as clean as possible with necessary mods and features. From here on out I will be focusing on stability and performance over any additional features. Probably will add touch to focus camera feature though....... that one is nice. Ill put some work in on this rom some more this weekend.

Cool.

So far, so good.

Running with Air Kernel 193/ondemandx/1200/200/noop.

Nice and swift.

I actually like the sliding toggles now that I see how to access them. All of them are there, and with other ROMS, I had to decide which ones I wanted.

Touch focus would be nice.

Thanks for putting in the work.

This is running great.

Initially some lag while everything was getting set up, but after settling on smartassv2 and nova launcher...very brisk and so far so good. Inverted gapps are slick on this as well...

Sweet, glad to hear! If you want to post a link to where you got those inverted gapps, ill add it to the OP for others to use.

Paul627g-

Do you think you could generate an orange or red theme for JellyButt? I'm a little down on the blue ICS at this point....would love some color options. I've grown fond of the orange theme that I'm using on my Transformer Prime with Baked JB ROM.
I can't promise anything.. I will see what type of time I have... I haven't themed anything in a while now..

Inverted gapps from goo.im. Also from xda (linked).

I also isolated just GMail and uploaded here.

EDIT: word to the wise.... Flashing may cause FCs with SMS/MMS. I was able to rescue by installing the 2.4 version of mms.apk from the ROM.

I got market FCs and a few other FCs when I flashed 2.4 over 2.3. This was despite wiping dalvik and cache...I think it was because of the inverted gapps.

After wiping and reflashing, 2.4 is running very smoothy. So, as you said, YMMV. (Generally I have had less than pleasing luck doing the dirty flashes...)

Nice and brisk with deadline/smartassv2. As you suggested in your OP, it does feel less laggy when moving about the phone.

All features working AFAIK.

Will let it burn the battery for the day and then calibrate and see how things go.

I couldn't get the inverted gapps to take . I have separate inverted apps from trav @ black ice. I'll try that. Also switched to air 201. So far so good. I'll mess with the settings and let ya know. This is so far what I got .

New links and mirrors are up in the OP.

Been using dropbox for about a year now to host my dev work ........ even built it up to 12gb bonus storage from referrals and up until today they were my absolute favorite cloud storage option.

This morning I receive an email telling me my public links have been suspended for three days due to excessive download traffic. No warning, just suspended!! After a little research I find out that the way to avoid this is to pay them 10 bucks a month for their pro service. Had they warned me prior to suspending my links, I probably would have been inclined to subscribe.

Switching cloud service over to Ubuntu One and Google Drive.

Thanks Dropbox for your "great" customer service! Suspending public links without notice that are in no way shape or form illegal is completely uncalled for!!

I've used SugarSync for a while now, and am really liking it so far. It's similar to Dropbox, but has a LOT more customization/control available.

Cleared Dalvik cache and installed 2.4 over 2.3. Seems to be working great so far! Thanks!

I've never flashed anything on my phone without a full wipe... is all we need to do clear dalvik cache and then load the new update? Is this standard practice? (i too am on 2.3 right now)....

No, usually you would do a full wipe, but jstntp specifically posted that he flashed from 2.3 to 2.4 without issue, but to do a full wipe if using any earlier version.
