I think it depends on where you're starting. By scratch, do you mean stock? If you're currently running Froyo, I think you can just flash ComRom 1.0 through cWm. I think only a dalvik and cache wipe are necessary. reboot. get back to cWm and flash the patch.

Perhaps someone with more experience can confirm/amend this. I'm just trying to prove to myself that I have *some* idea of what I'm talking about.

sorry, should have clarified. Right now I'm running EC01 and com rom. I wiped d cache and cache before I flashed the rom and patch .....but Im having mms issues. So i was going to wipe and start over.

should I odin back to stock?

Anyone else having issues gps after going from 1.1 to 1.2? My gps was working pretty good on 1.1 like 10 15 secong locks....but after 1.2 20 min an still no lock?

I think before that, you should try and reflash your mms file. Whether you're using the mms_patch.zip from page one or one of the mms.apk files from a different ROM, you could reflash it and reboot to see if that does anything for ya.

mines not that bad, but has anyone seen this, right before it locks on it says the gps lady says "data connection lost" has anyone else had that prob

Did a full data wipe, went back to DL09, OTA to Froyo, then flashed Kang Bang, and I haven't had any gps issues with the ED01 radio.. so far so good..haven't tried navigation yet though..

I have now read through all 89 pages of this thread and am amazed no one's done an FAQ post. I am tempted to read through all 89 pages again and assemble one myself after I flash the rom and get my phone all set up.

There was always that hulu zip that we used with superclean to be able to get flash to work with hulu. Anyone know if this would work if I flashed it on Comm Romm 1.2 - just curious? My flash may be working, but I always check with hulu, so I'm not sure.

I remember when I put that on my EB01 setup, I had to go and uninstall updates to Flash player in order for hulu to work. 10.1 and 10.2 were the same.

I feel like I searched this and found no help so if I missed it just give me a post number and I will look it up myself.
The ROM is working great no issues to report at all after 2 full days until today when I knew I had some stuff coming to my GMail which is the primary on my phone. I never got a status bar notification and when I opened the GMail app I had to tell it to refresh and then I had all kinds of email. This particular feature worked fine on SC 2.9.2. In GMail settings I have the email notification box checked, no ringtone or vibrate, and the notify once box unchecked. What am I missing? Any help would be greatly appreciated and thanks.

I had this problem a couple supercleans ago ..my fix was that I didn't have the sync turned on under menu/settings/accounts&sync

Just re-download it from the market. Thats what I did.

GPS didn't want to be consistent for me even on ED01 but after I installed GPS aids from the market it works great. Just a suggestion for those with bad GPS performance. Thanks to Sharky for this advice from a different thread.

That fixed it Thank you. Just never thought to look there. Sync was off for Gmail and contacts and on for calender which I never use.
