[ROM][5.07.2011][ED01]Community Rom V1.3

I wiped data and lost my bookmarks. Only the default bookmarks are there. When I try to access bookmarks from within a browser I get an FC. Same thing when trying to use BookmarkSB.

Editing to say that bookmarks work in stock browser but not Skyfire or Firefox. When I press the bookmark icon in those I get an FC. But even then I only have the stock bookmarks, not the ones I had before the data wipe.

After the wipe and update I lost my bookmarks as well. Couldn't get Titanium to restore them, Bookmark SB force closed on mine as well. Wound up restoring them manually (luckily only had about fifteen) and then doing another backup in Titanium.

I'm guessing different version of browser in 1.3 won't take the backup files from another version?

Am I correct in assuming that because 1.3 is a full rom that you can come from stock and just flash 1.3? Or do you need to flash 1.0, wipe data to have all enhancements take effect, and then flash 1.3 over it?

No I'm on comm rom 1.2 I just haven't updated my profile. So why if 1.3 is a patch why would it be 170mb ? 1.1 & 1.2 are patches and there only like 35 mb. I've tired to flash it on both of my phones and it keeps aborting. Is it maybe that I have white chrome as my theme?

I quoted the wrong post in my second reply to you, I was wrong, 1.3 is full, not a patch...my mistake

I don't want to sound ungrateful cause I love this ROM [1.3] and extremely happy with all the hard work yall have put into this. With that said, might I ask who came up with the swype theme? The gray theme before was easy to use and perfect, this new one...well, I don't care for it. The white letters on black background with white background textures makes it difficult to see. And when I swype out a word, the autocorrect pops up showing possible words...light green on light gray?? Really? Talk about eye strain. Thats my ONLY complaints on an otherwise perfect setup. I don't want to sound rude and trying to not sound that way, just saying the new swype keys are not user eye friendly at all. Just my 2 cents.

If you are on stock ED01 you can flash directly to 1.3. I would recommend a full wipe though as lots of people coming from stock ED01 are seeing Bing not fully wiped away without a full wipe for some reason. Which is really odd since the data wipe really has nothing to do with that. But the results are there. But definitely no problem coming from stock ED01 to 1.3.

Well, in the process of trying to fix the bookmark issue all of my old ones returned. I don't know what I did that worked, though. They are back in the list for the stock browser but still not working in Skyfire.

I tried flashing over kangbang v1.2 after wiping cache and couldn't get the clock to show up in the notification bar. Tried changing settings in TSM with no luck. Did a full data wipe and had the same results.

What am I doing wrong?

From my experience nothing, people are reporting this a lot.

It also happened to me. Try a simple reboot or install it again.

Everyone having trouble with the clock not showing up, someone posted the solution over at XDA. I tried it and it worked for me. You have to go into text color, click on the outer circle in the white area, then click the middle circle, back out of there, make sure all the settings are the way you want them in TSM tools, back out of there then reboot phone while it is not plugged in. When the phone reboots you should see the clock and all your settings should be enabled.

Landshark, have you read my post. it is 1268.

The status bar is causing a lot of problems.
And the way you just mention to get the settings working worked nice for me also.

Just read it. Obviously the no battery percentage patch is not playing nice. But then again you don't need it because that is one of the options in TSM parts=>statusbar settings. And it seems quite a few people are having trouble with the phone not booting with the OTB v1.4 kernel.

Have we found a fix for the themed gmail force close issue? Mine and my wife's phone both did it so I flashed to old calendar to fix it but I would love to have the themed one back and working. Thanx

I thought the option in TSM parts was to display the battery percentage alone. When it is checked to be shown isn't it just a number but it isn't in the battery icon? or am i just really tired

Bookmarks--- not sure about fixing that, but just wanted to mention to check out Xmarks..I highly recommend and your bookmarks aren't stored on your handset. They are served on a secure server. A data wipe, will simply require you to restore the xmarks app and re-sync. You can also access your bookmarks accross multiple computers. Its a very nice app. I have the paid, version but there is a free version available.

Xmarks | Bookmark Sync and Search

:)

I think you're right Pikanate, that's the way I remember it being too, the percentage option showed up strictly as a number % next to the battery icon.
