[ROM][5.07.2011][ED01]Community Rom V1.3

Thanks for this... I will give it a try...

Question though.... I thought I remember reading somewhere it is reccomending to using exactly 7 states.... so just using 6 is OK?

The app states 5-7 is recommended. I just liked the idea of steps intervals of 200.

Since there seems to be a lot of questions regarding voltage settings I figured I'd post my current configuration:

CFQ Scheduler

1200 - 0
1000 - 0
800 - 25
600 - 50
400 - 50
200 - 75

I have had absolutely zero problems and performance is amazing with this config. I've never seen my phone run this well before.

That is where my voltage settings have migrated to as well.. I have taken it to:
QFC Scheduler and have had no issues in the past 3 hours..
1000 - 0
900 - 25
800 - 25
600 - 50
400 - 50
200 - 75
100 - 75

Will seem a bit sluggish when I have to wake the camera but that is easy to live with..

Just flashed the 1.1 patch and have had the display up for a good part of the morning.. Dropped 9% from a full charge 3 hours ago.

To Vodoo or not to vodoo, that is the question

I am running SC292 non vodoo. it appears that going to Vodoo is really easy on this ROM.
I am not one for overy tweaking the phone for fear of bricking it. I can't afford the down time. Can I load Vodoo and just leave it be for now until I am more comfortable with Vodoo later?

Just kinda thinkin' out load here...

Mike

Just do it. You'll see there's nothing to it. You don't HAVE to do any tweaking either. If you don't trust yourself, uninstall the voltage control app.

I was getting ready to flash the Community ROM and noticed the v1.1 patch. My question, can I flash the ROM and patch in the same "session" of CWM or should I flash the ROM and reboot then go back in to CWM and flash the patch??

It is quite easy. I've been voodoo for over a month and have done absolutely nothing as far as voltage goes.....it's up to you. With this ROM and the voltage control app that comes with it, I am reading up on it to take the next plunge but you don't have to.

Just like everything else here, read and follow instructions exactly, just like your first ODIN....you'll be fine. The biggest issue would be flashing a non-voodoo kernel over a voodoo without disabling the lagfix, but coming from non-voodoo to voodoo is smooth.

You guys are really killin me. Initially I had no intention of ever rooting my phone, but then I rooted it because of you all. Then I flashed some stuff with Odin.. and had no intention of ever using CWM or going voodoo. But now I've done some more reading and I just have to try out this Community ROM, plus I want to flash back the Daily Briefing Widget. So tonight when I get home I will install CWM Red, go voodoo and get the party started! (I wish I could install CWM without needing a computer..I'm not able to do it using my office PC).

My question is.. I'm rooted and ODIN flashed to ED01 using Landshark's ODIN file. Do I have to wipe all data if I want the community ROM? I'd really rather not wipe if possible.

Thanks!

I just tried to wipe my battery stats using Terminal Emulator and the phone immediately restarted, but I don't see a "Batt_*" text file on my sd card. How can I tell if I've successfully wiped?

AAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWSSSSSOOOOOOMMMMEEEEEEEEEE !!!!

The 1.1 patch and samsung mms addon are flashed thru cwm correct? Use the install zip from sd card?

Not sure if anyone else has tried this, but... when charging my phone while it is off, it will not show a full charge. Was going to wipe b stats and waited for a long time for the phone to show 100% charge, but it never did. Thoughts anyone?

I had the same problem. I removed the usb cord, plugged it back in, and it looks like the phone re-calculated the charging time. It took about another 10 minutes before I got the message that it was 100%.

don't some of the lock screens show the charge level? I do that sometimes, just change to the rotary lock, so I can see what the charge is.

I use the rotary lock screen as well and it shows the charge %. He was asking about when the phone is powered off.

Update: It happened when the event was created in Outlook. I did another test by creating an event on my phone and it worked fine.

Is anyone else having any FC issues with the Calendar app when a reminder goes off?

Just tested. Yes.. Calendar reminders will force close.. (outlook sync'd).. Will test phone calendar next...

Edit: Phone set up events function fine..

Will test Google Calendar entry,..

Update: Google entry via web: FC... must put the calendar entry in the phone to prevent FC..
