Awesome thanks. Yeah I just saw that the version is now 2.2. Are there any other improvements over version 2.0 that I would benefit from?

The custom live wallpaper and clock are part of v.2.2 the are installed when flahing the rom, can't remember anything else right now off the top of my head.

Here's the link for the theme, just remember wallpaper and clock are not part of this zip the are in the newest version of the rom.

You don't have to wipe the rom will wipe it for you, i forgot to make it were you can flash over the top without losing your data,I will make sure any update after v.2.2 will flash over without wiping your data.

Don't forget 2.2 wasn't just about the theme. You also got the androidcentral.com LWP and an androidcentral clock widget that when pressed, opens your browser and takes you to this thread. The benefits of upgrading to 2.2 are pretty significant IMHO.

I agree. I do want those pretty bad, BUT I don't want all of my data to be wiped out, because I've been running version 2.0 since it came out and have everything set up exactly the way I want it. I've read mixed feedback on using Titanium Backup to restore system settings and such on other ROM's (but not this one so idk if I would get good results or not).

if you make a backup of your froyo install with titanium then you shouldn't have any problems restoring it. the problems i have seen were coming from an eclair backup to a froyo install. i had to do it in pieces.

still haven't found any bugs on the ROM guys. looks great.

can you ghetto rig it to turn off the 270 degree rotation? cause i hate it. or can gbhil add that to spare parts?

Hmm interesting. Maybe (MAYBE) I will do a NAND and give it a try. For now my "concerns" have been addressed. But if I have time today I will tinker with and post my results.

gj on the ROM. i have flashed to the lite version and updated the radios.

However, i would to keep the HTC clock widget, but i'm not sure where i am going wrong in trying to install it. i have extracted HtcClockWidget.apk from the full version of the rom and e-mailed it to myself. Gmail gives an option to install so i click that (have also tried from a file explorer after saving to disk), i get the confirmation screen and press Install, but it says 'Application not installed' after that. I have not had time to try any other applications (perhaps this one depends on other files like weather?). Any help is appreciated.

First, thanks for using the ROM. We appreciate everyones support!

Onto your question. The reason you cant just install these apk's via an explorer is because they are trying to install into data/app and HTC has protection on these which prevents that from happening. They will only install to and run from system/app. The HTCclockswidgets does rely on the weather stuff as documented in bloat.txt in post #2 (at the bottom of document under "special considerations").

I have 2 suggestions for you. First suggestion is, which clock are you looking for? There are plenty of clock widgets in the market that come in all shapes and sizes. One of my personal favorites is a 2x1 digital clock widget thats called "Digiwatch widget" and is free in the market. Also, what ...... you don't like the AC technical support clock widget we included?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Kidding :p i know we all have our favorites but this one happens to be my new personal favorite. I was showing it off to all my buddies today, thanks again gbhil.

Suggestion # 2 It sounds like the LITE ROM may not be the ROM for you depending on how bad you want the htcclockwidgets. You may be better off downloading the full, then using root explorer to get rid of some of the crap. again, refer to the bloat.txt attached to post #2

Keep on rocking and we'll keep on rollin!!

hi, thanks for your response. i think i prefer a clean install like the lite version - i don't want 90% of that other stuff. i will check out the widgets on the market. this is my first android device so i am still learning.

is it possible to take the required apks from the full version and put them on the lite version - for just the clock? nothing wrong with the AC clock, i just prefer digital ;)

Yes, in fact I am running a modified version of lite myself but two things:

1. You must know how to sign ROMs with test keys
2. Unfortunately, and I hope you understand, we probably could not support you should you encounter any issues. It would be physically impossible for us to support thousands of Rom's all while continuing to develop and test new releases for people. Also you should keep in mind that you will need to keep doing that process each and every time we have a new release and right now, were not showing any signs of slowing down :)

Hope this helps.

i completely understand... i like to mess around so i'll give it a shot when i have a slow day at work ;)

edit: found a very similar replacement for the HTC clock - google Fancy Widget 1.2.2.apk ;) all is well now :)

Tried installing the full version and all I get once I boot is a red triangle. after rebooting I get the following message:

e: Can't open /cache/recovery/command

--install form SD card...
Finding update package...
opening update package...
verifying update package..
E: failed to open /sdcard/update.zip (no such file or directory)
E:signature verification failed
instalation aborted

I have cleared my sd card and re-downloaded the file twice without any sucess. What am I doingg wrong? I hate to sound like a noob, but I'm new to the droid scene...
