The problem I see people on other ROMs are having is with upgrading the VVM. We've included the new VVM apk into 2.5 and as far as I can tell from the 6 or 8 VM's I got today, seems fine over here.

Try a dirty flash.

Edit - as an after thought, you did a full wipe before flashing 2.5 correct? If you didn't, you need to otherwise any new apk's we included in 2.5 (VVM for example) that existed in the previous version wouldn't be replaced.

My VVM is sadly not working either. I Wiped everything before flashing the ROM.

Is there a way to reinstall the VVM apk?

Not sure if this will work or not but give it a try ...

1) Come here on your phone browser. Make sure you're not on the mobile version of the site because i don't think attachments show in the mobile version.
2) Download the apk I've attached to this post.
3) Install it. no special explorers or anything, just select it from your browsers download list once it finishes downloading.

Also, Market is not downloading any apps over 3G. Not sure if this is has anything to do with the rom.

Wifi did work for me yesterday.

Just an FYI, I followed the instructions for this ROM to the letter and am not having any problems. If you are having problems you can try to wipe everything again and reflash or try a dirty flash and see if that helps. Also, sometimes if you're restoring apps and data from titanium backup or another app it could be causing problems. One time I restored an older version of an app and i had to uninstall it and redownload it to get the most current version (it was the facebook app).

Good point which brings up a simple fix (hopefully) for anyone having a VM issue.

I have removed the apk from my post above because that will address someones VVM issue but who knows what else might be messed up because of flashing issues or restore issues. Best to play it safe and fix it the correct way in order to provide the best experience possible.

For those with root explorer:
1) Use root explorer and delete the Sprint_VVM.apk out of data/app
2) Do a dirty flash which will replace the apk

For those without root explorer:
1) Try a dirty flash, if that doesn't fix it go to step 2
2) wipe data-factory/cache/dalvik and flash the ROM. Don't use any application to set yourself back up just do it manually to prevent restoring any malfunctioning or outdated apk's

I just flashed the full version after a full wipe (data-factory/cache/dalvik) and tested VM and it worked without issue. I then flashed the lite version after full wipe (data-factory/cache/dalvik) and it worked without issue. Also tested on a different version of the ROM and it worked without issue. All 3 tests included a full wipe of data-factory/cache/dalvik and none of the tests included a software to restore any apk's or settings, VM worked

Actually, I woke up this morning and the issue just corrected itself... not sure if it was the ROM or something with Sprint.

Either way it works flawlessly again.

Sneaky sneaky, wonder if there is/was some kind of regional VVM issue? I haven't seen anything on the boards but that doesn't mean there isn't funny business going on.

I did notice my PRL got updated overnight?

Mine updated too to the same one as you. I know I didn't do the update.

I don't see how that could affect the VVM app but idk how they have it all set up or how the signal is in the area in question.

My Marketplace issue appears to be resolved now. I updated my PRL and tried and it worked.

Maybe that will also resolve the VVM issue. I am waiting to receive a VM. (not many people call me).

You should be able to update the PRL and profile the others shouldn't matter,doubt it'll happen but don't accept any OTA if it comes thru for any reason.<It shouldn't.

ok so i went through the battle of reverting back to 2.1 and rooting with the generic 2.2 update (no not the ota) whichever one was in the video tutorial... ive since switched to this one but am still having issues even getting signed into the marketplace, when it does finally let me in after many attempts with the resulting cannot establish data connection i cannot download anything it just sits there saying its downloading with no progress.... what do i do!?!?!?

Have you tried updating your radio,not sure which radio version you have. After that if your having signal problems maybe try a full wipe and flash to see maybe something weird happen.If your in the 309 area code then join the club on crappy signal right now not sure why but ive had the worst signal lately and it's sprint.

actually i am in the 309 haha... i actually did the radio and wimax updates that were included, im not so much having problems with the signal im now signed into the market but when i try and download anything i get nothing, if i go to try to click install again it says its starting the download but its been like 25-30 mins and still nothing, also cant connect to the tethering, however my internet and everything else works great and moderatly fast???

it just really bums me out, ive been so stoked about rooting now that ive done it i cant have apps anymore? I really wish there was an easy way to go back to stock at this point : (
