My search button on the bottom right doesn't work, although with a long press it still does voice search. I noticed that google search wasn't baked into the rom so I installed that hoping to be able to set a default or something. Any ideas?

I cant speak for anyone else, but this is absolutely the best rom I have ever used. It has all the things I need and very little of what I dont. I love AM Launcher, the battery indicator is fantastic (mine for some reason comes off the charger at 96%, but it did that with Quick Battery too), the unlock screen with built in volume silence (never had a rom with this before) is awesome, and it is very fast/lean.

By the way, I ended up doing a complete wipe/reflash with Odin to stock eb13/rooted/CWM 3.0/deodexed (sp?)/ext4, installed ACE and was good to go. The google setup assistant worked great for me without any effort.

Fantastic job- thank you for your time! FINALLY a froyo solution that works for me.

Noted flaws: voice calling doesnt work here, but I tested as a courtesy since I dont use it. Orientation flip works, but its very slow (i turn it off since I dont want the screen to flip unless I open the keyboard). Confirm search button doesnt work, but I dont care about that either. Everything else ive tried works.

No, actually I think DK28 is just as stable if not better in many ways.

I agree, I never really thought DK28 was so bad to where the delays made sense. To see most of the issues still in EB13 I just wonder what the hell they worked on for so long and even more wonder why they would release it. I suppose Samsung will release a froyo update again soon since they had to pull EB13 already but I am pretty sure none of the bugs will be ironed out in that release.

I am looking forward to ACE, but will hold off a little while. You and Rag were great with TER and I appreciate all of the help you gave myself and others.

At first the lag fix didnt seem to work (after calibration it was still very slow). I then grabbed the google search zip and flashed it with CWM, and upon rebooting, the rotation is smooth and quick (stock was very touchy, where this seems more reasonable in terms of response). I might actually keep it enabled and see how it works.

Google search zip fixes search button perfectly. Thanks for the great work Paul627g..

Quick question--did you do a custom boot animation? Mine didn't change with this ROM, just want to make sure my phone didn't eat it.

Been running it for a few hours, everything running very nice. Thanks a bunch for continued work.

if i step up to EB13 and ACE... couple questions- 1) i use ADW launcher... if i backup everything.. will i be able to just restore my icons and screens to their present condition? (a LOT of time into custom icons) 2) can i flash my custom boot/shutdown animation still? 3)if i want to switch back to dk28 and TER... do i have to use odin and reflash (and if i do... can i restore my settings from a backup in CWM???)??? sorry for all the questions... i really want to try this rom and TER on eb13 (since im seeing people saying it works), but i like dk28, works great for me, and i dont want to switch to something that isnt guaranteed if i cant come back to exactally like i am now. I know you wont let me down.. you and Rag are amazing at what you do... but if its gonna be hard to go back and forth, i may just wait till next release or so when more bugs are worked out.

1). Any time your changing software versions there is bound to be some kinks. You can always try backing up ADW and restoring it(with mybackup root or ADW settings)
2) You will be able to flash custom boot/shut down animations......just not yet, this update seems to be holding those back a bit. You will probably be require to modify those files coming from DK28.
3) As long as you make a back up with CWM and dont touch your SD card through the process....once you finally get root status and CWM reinstalled again you will be able to restore that back up you made and restore back to DK28/TER

Bug Note: Woke up this morning and of course the phone was fully charged. Unfortunately, the 1% battery mod was gone and I had the default battery icon. Rebooted into clockwork mod and wiped the cache (dont know if this helped), and upon reboot the mod works fine again. Just thought id let you know Paul627g. No other bugs found so far and still loving it :)

No I attempted to use an old animation but it caused a bunch of fc's so I abandoned the idea for the release. I will keep my eye out, I didn't want to use the same stuff everyone else is using or will be using.

I'd like to know this myself. I've been able to get screens, icons and place holders for the widgets to restore, but never get everything back the way it was, all the widgets are gone. I've used titanium, mybackup pro, and the build in backup and restore of adw, it's always the same. Although it's the same for Launcher Pro.

So when I loaded ACE this am, a lot of widget rebuilding has to be done. Just doesn't look like there is an easy way to change roms. Actually, changing roms is easy, its the aftermath that gets me.

I've gone from TER, Midnight and now ACE and I've had to repeat this step each time. I've always had terrible lagging with AM Launcher.

I had this too but after using the phone for a second it was back. Is it possible that the battery percent mod....doesn't support 100%? BTW no need to wipe it will work as soon as it hits 96%

Thanks for the reply, just wanted to make sure I didn't do something to it. My wife saw the ROM on my phone and is jealous. Might finally be enough to make her root her phone. Thanks for all your hard work.

I'm using XML coding provided by a454nova at XDA. His "coding" for the battery mods has been used for a long time now.

Only bug I've noticed is when the battery mod hits 80% it shows the stock meter for some reason but then returns to the mod at 79%. Could be a mistake in my image files on my part.

Stopping at 96% yes I noticed that too, I have gotten it to go past that by uplugging/replugging. I think this is the same bug carried over from DK28.

I haven't duplicated the battery mod disappearing yet, but if your claiming it fixes itself with a reboot then thats a good thing :P

Actually you don't even need a reboot just use the phone for a little bit and enough battery will drain, then the mod will show.

Yeah, I noticed the stock battery indicator show up again at 80%. Seems like nothing can really be done about it on your end- its just a bug. Not really a big deal though- works fine at all other times and when I see the normal indicator I KNOW its at 80%. Not a big deal..

Otherwise, still no other bugs to report, and pretty insane battery life so far..

Does this mod actively use battery life moreso than the stock indicator? I know some of the Market apps cause increased battery drain, but this rom seems to be doing very well on battery (if I can ever stop using it).

Actually, are you sure this is a Froyo bug at all? My phone on ECLAIR came off the charger at 97% according to Quick Battery (which I had to use since the stock notification batt icon sucks). Its not really a big deal to me- I have managed (on eclair; havent tried on Froyo) to get it to 99% with a few unplug/replugs. With the ACE rom though (and the noobnl andromeda rom when I was on Eclair), battery life is good enough that I dont really care/bother.

Does EXT4 still break bluetooth?

I posted this in another thread but this should give you the info you need:

The basic bluetooth functions seem to still work like placing a call with your phone then being able to set the phone down and continue the conversation with the bluetoot, I think "broken" functionality everyone is talking about is what you are supposed to get with Froyo 2.2: bluetooth dialing, better integration for new vehicles with bluetooth sync, etc.
