[ROM] Android Open Kang Project

Well, I went back to Franco's kernel. Night and day on this device for me. My perfect combo seems to be AOKP and this kernel. I always end up coming back to it.

Fast. So damn fast. Most stable too. Nothing quirky, no lag, just euphoria!

Which one? I'm not liking faux at all tbh.

I'm on the latest nightly, r141. The battery life is not as good as faux, but it is MUCH faster. Also no lag at all. Usually run ondemand governor, but am trying out lazy. Theoretical battery savings... supposedly it takes longer to ramp up to Max CPU than ondemand.

We'll see. I'm not overly concerned with it anyway, I just really like the performance of this kernel.

Flashed it an hour ago, thanks!

Also it was 1111 so make a wish?

Went from build 31 to build 33 today. Stock kernel.

This SOB hauls ass! I don't use any benchmark test apps. I just use a game that I play frequently....Klondike. The cards fly off the deck before I can even read them.

This build is the fastest I've ever seen on any phone. No idea about battery life yet.

Edit: Day 2. Unplugged from the charger at 7am. Average day of calls, email, texts, browsing, reading news feeds, etc. It's now 11:16pm and the battery is at 33%. I'm sold.

33 didn't last very long did it?
That was more a statement than a question. :-P

I was thinking about trying this since Liquid 1.3 didnt end up working out to well for me. Suprised 34 is out so quick as well. I hear they are on a feature freeze right now and are just polishing for a milestone release. Might wait for that to make a move again from patient zero.

is it just me or is anyone else having problems with market restore with b34

edit: the old gapps file does market restore correctly.

Of course a new build drops while I am on the road. Won't be able to flash until I get back this weekend. Curse my flashaholic tendencies!

It's the new GAPPS (from what I can tell). No option for market restore and you have to go hunt down GMAIL, Maps, and Play Music (among others like Books and whatnot).

Finally had a chance to flash build 34 today. Running well so far with LeanKernel 3.3.0. Like the fix to the font size for text in the status bar. I can finally read the temperature display in the status bar. :)

That was a serious pain in the ass. It did at least force me to reconsider some of my apps, though.
