[ROM] Android Open Kang Project

haha yeah thats how it goes.

b22 is good, not much different.

i was going to wait until 4.04 source comes out and we get a build off that, but was up late anyway so i just flashed it.

i haven't tried cna yet but i figure there's not a whole lot of difference.

Did you flash the radios as well?

I may hold off as well, if only because I like my current setup.

No not yet actually. I was going to but i didnt have the md5 so i held off.

Might just wait now until the source is released. Hoping that's soon tho.

Reports are generally good on the performance from what ive read.

Yeah about the same ,,,most noticable difference to me is that it doesnt come with Nova Launcher by default.
CNA uses CND Launcher by default.
The toggles in the pulldown bar are WiFi,Bluetooth,GPS and Sound,as far as I know you can not change them out ,or if you can I havent found that setting yet.

Understandable. Couldn't wait, and so far, my signal--at least what's being "picked up," is a lot better.

You can customize the pull down in AOKP just like CNA. Just go into the Rom settings. I like that the buttons are in the pull down on CNA but with AOKP, you have to hit the settings icon after pulling it down.

I am on AOKP Milestone3 now as everything is working ;)

Good to hear if we can get a better signal this phone will be close to perfect for me :)

Based on the very unscientific test of being able to get 4G in places I didn't think it existed, I am very, very pleased. I never had any dropped call issue, so as far as standard calling and stuff, I can't attest. And I didn't do any baseline testing before flashing, so I can't compare strength numbers.

That being said, I am very pleased with the signal and 4G is a blast--even in the uranium lined cave that is my bedroom!

in aokp you can set it up to have the drop down toggles stay present without hitting the settings button.

That's def a feature I miss from CM7. Here's hoping CM9 has that "static" settings bar for my toggles!

I like how AOKP looks IMO its much better then CNA makes it much easier to adjust the brightness level.

Edit - Build 22 was released today and in the changelog it says that you know don't have to hit the setting button on the notification to bring up your toggles.

Where? I need to do that. Probably completely missed it lol

Its definitely in build 22 - "Toggles on by default, disabled auto-hide by default"

Not sure where you find the tick box to change it (somewhere in Rom Control), or if its available on earlier builds bc i dont remember ... haha sorry

edit
on b22 - rom cont - statusbar - general - autohide toggles

Ah-ha! It's on MS3. Tip--if you tap the settings button (thus making the toggles appear/disappear) when the status/notification menu is pulled and the toggles are already present, they won't be there because they auto-hide anyway. You must hit the settings button to bring the toggle up, then close the pull-down without hitting said settings button. Long-press on the settings button doesn't change whether the toggles remain or hide.

Thanks!

Looking at the changelog, nothing really is a must have and M3 is working fine so I'm gonna see if I can hold out till the next build. I usually install every single build, so this might be tough. ;-P

Yeah, I wanted to wipe bc I was flashing mods all over the place. B22 isn't much changed but its awesome, of course.

I was bored last night so I went ahead and flashed build 22. Nothing is drastically different from M3, but the weather in the pulldown menu is kinda nice. Still runs as good as all the other builds I have tried.

Yeah my phone is totally modded. I like to mash themes together, like I take a dialer from one theme and a calculator from another and install them. I got tons of softkey zips to flash. The amount of mods are sick.

Have you seen the transitions mod? That thing is off the charts!

Any idea how to get both the Search button and the multitasking button on the dock?

That setting is in rom control ->navigation bar->enabled buttons. You also can change the order with the option right below that in Navigation button order.
