Does AOKP allow adding a search softkey and changing their color to match ICS? Thanks in advance.

Yes to both - found in Settings>Rom Control
Awesome...what kernels are working best in conjunction with AOKP right now?
If anyone likes black and white theme's make sure you check this one out.
Here are a ton of different icons
I didn't even notice the notification light so I guess that shouldn't bother me.
I was on 21 for abt 2 days, it ran well, good battery. Then m3 came out, and ive been on that since. Battery is still good, and as its a milestone, I expect some of the bugs from 21, if there were any, have been ironed out.
Suggest milestone, clean install, and maybe try a different kernel if Franco's isn't working out for ya.
It's not the ROM, it's just some funky state your phone got into. I've read of success from going back into recovery and clearing cache and dalvik. It wont hurt to try and will only take you a couple of minutes. You could also download a couple of free apps like CPU Spy and Badass Battery Monitor to see exactly what's draining the battery.

Best advice I have is to wait it out for a day or two. Battery life always seems to get better a few days after I install a new ROM.
Also check your batter usage (Settings > Battery) to see what the culprit might be. Sometimes just the fact that you are playing with the new ROM more so than you did with the old one is enough to kill the battery.
Additionally, and I have nothing to back this up, it seems like actually flashing the ROM sucks up the battery too. You need to reboot, unpack the files, copy them, boot again....with a wiped dalvik which takes longer, reboot again possibly to install the kernel.....
If you haven't fully charged the battery post install, I would do that and see if there's any difference.
Unpack files, copy them, boot again? not sure I follow. Im new to the ROM world. This is actually the first ROM I flashed.
So I just wiped the cache and dalvik as well as the Bad Ass Battery Monitor & CPU Spy apps. Hoping to get some positive results. Thanks for the advice.
He's just describing what happens when you flash the ROM. Behind the scenes, the software has to be unzipped, installed, rebooting is involved. It all sucks some of your juice...just something to keep in mind when evaluating your battery life.
