[ROM] Android Open Kang Project

how is a milestone build different than a 22 build?

What mclarry said, but don't think that the numerical builds are in any way unstable. I have flashed most every build from about 7 or 8 and they are far far from unstable.

The way roman put it, the milestones are an accumulation of the builds before it and the numericals are adding tweaks so us end users will beta test them. I suspect he does heavy testing before any release though.

I'm on 22 right now. Do I still need to do a full wipe upgrading to 23?

I went from a daily build to M3 without wiping and had major issues. Got stuck in a boot loop and eventually had to revert to stock, unlock, root, wipe and install M3. Not sure what caused my issues. YMMV.

m3 had it's own gapps. might be why

Hey guys, I haven't really seen this reported so I am thinking its time to post. I am having issues with sending SMS messages. I have reflased the rom at least 3 times now, and tried to enter sprints SMSC code. At times, they wont send for hours. I do use GO SMS and have tried uninstalling and reinstalling that as well. Any ideas to keep the radios working? Do they need updated coming from a sense rom? I am on Build 23

Sprint? Do you perchance have a Nexus S?

Finally decided to give AOKP a spin and flashed it today. Running well so far and I really like the way it implements the notification bar controls. I may have found a new daily driver. :D

I've been running Codename Android for a couple of weeks but wanted to see what AOKP is like. Liking it so far and plan on sticking with it for a while.

what kind of battery life do you guys lose when inactive? IE, for 7 hours overnight, what % do you lose? I'm loosing about 15% in 7 hours of inactivity (Facebook, 2 gmail accounts, Twitter) overnight. is this normal?

AOKP 21
Franco Kernal (I forget which ones, whatever one was current when AOKP 21 was released)

I not sure of the exact numbers but I think I'm doing a little better then you. Normally at home I always leave it on the charger but last weekend I did leave it off almost all day with very little use and I want to say it was around 1% an hour. I'm running Milestone 3 with stock kernel and was on wifi the entire time I have 1 Gmail, Facebook, and Google +.

I don't know precisely, bc I usually charge overnight also, but I get better than 15, however I stay on wifi at home. My guess would be 5-10 with Gmail and fb only syncing and weather.
Build 23 stock kernel.

You guys should give heyitslou's defiant kernel a try. I get really good results with it. Run it a couple of days and see what you think. You might be surprised.

He doesn't do the ridiculous 4 day updates...frankly cos the thing just works.

Found the setting to separately set the volume for phone calls and notifications. Been wanting the ability to do that for a long time and now I have it! :)

Lots of rumblings about b24 at rootzwiki today - should be out tonight or tomorrow with some new features:
lock screen wallpaper picker, no nav bar mod ...

Well, so much for waiting for the next milestone. ;-)
