[ROM] Android Open Kang Project

You should do the check before you install...but in your case might be tough. I don't think I remember a time when md5 didn't check out so you're relatively safe. If you have a nandroid backup it would certainly help get you back.

Just reflash but make sure you WIPE DATA AND DALVIK.

Alright I will try it. I will flash the rom boot up and then go to flash gapps. You said you flashed kejar gapps what if I also did that? Would that be at all helpful? Where did you get it from? Thanks again for helping me out.

No just flash one gapps package, not 2. So flash what you got on your sd card for now.

Just read it. Great read. What's interesting are the comments below the article, about some thoughts on the cnd rom.

That's a thing I love about the Droid-Life site, no matter what type of news article gets posted, you could always assume there would be entertaining responses below.

From browsing the thread there, it looks like there are some issues with dirty install at least, possibly with clean installs.

I'm going to go ahead and clean install it anyway, just thought i'd give some heads up.

I was also inquiring what mirror some may have downloaded, as that could cause issues as well.

Thanks for the heads up. Flashed from build 25 to 26 without a data wipe. If I run into any issues will try reflashing after a full wipe.

I downloaded from the primary link (the mirror 1 link didn't work when I tried it). The md5 of my download matched so I flashed away.

I think the Swagger toggle is for laughs. But who knows? Turn it on and maybe a special unicorn animation will pop up unexpectedly. :D

I've been running b22 and decided to go ahead and flash b26. Everything worked like a charm, flashed qas's Red-N-Black theme as well... b26 is running well and the theme looks awesome!

I was just going to flash B25 as my first ROM, then I saw this.

Now I have a question, it's noted that B26 is a maintenance update. So, should I flash B25 first, then update to B26? or just flash B26.

Thanks,
Jeff

Just flash b26... no need to flash b25.

When installing the rom update with new gapps what do you do? He says you dont have to wipe data so just wipe cache and dalvik and then install the update then the gapps?

That's right but some folks (including me) had problems without a data wipe. I had some constant force closes that went away after I reflashed after a full wipe.
