[ROM] Android Open Kang Project

Decided to give the franco kernel a try today and see how it performs. I downloaded the app to automatically download it; should I be using the stable version, or the current nightly (I think it's 175)?

I always roll with the nightlies. If there are bugs they are fixed quickly. Plus, my name is Dylan and I have an addiction lol

Anyone use power saver ? My radios wont come back up when I turn screen on. Or it takes forever .

Wow, performance (and even battery life) seems a bit better on the Franco kernel so far, than it did on lean kernel 3.8 yesterday. So, what's everyone using for launchers? I know Nova, Apex, and Trebuchet all seem to be fairly popular, but looking at them in the app store, they all seem very similar (in terms of both features and physical look). What, exactly, are the major differences between these three?

So I have a question... Is there a guide for the Galaxy Nexus with the Franco Kernel that can help with what settings will help the Nexus improve performance? I'm just curious on how to master this kernel and optimize my nexus with best speed and battery life at the same time.

Thanks.

Apex would be your best option. Its what I use. I tried nova but you have to pay to hide apps in the app drawer. Apex gives it to you for free. That's really the only difference I noticed. Note: nova seemed a bit buggier than Apex also.

A lot of that is device/individual specific. The best advise I can give is to try different settings every 2 days, because a kernel needs a day or so to really get cooking. Try those out over a period of time, make notes, and decide what setup is best for your own particular usage.

Look what AOKP posted on FB right now.

Friends, we are sorry to inform you that due to unforeseen circumstances, we at Team Kang will no longer be releasing builds for AOKP for current and future devices. We hope you enjoy Build 37 as it is the final version of the Android Open Kang Project.

What do you guys think?? Lies? Troll? For reals?

What's the page? Roman has been complaining about a fake AOKP page on Facebook.

From Roman's Twitter feed:

Friends, this has gone too far. The fake Facebook account is now attacking me and my family members. Please report them http://www.facebook.com/AndroidOpenKANGProject

I wouldn't believe it.. AOKP is the next best thing to happen since CyanogenMod... they're not going anywhere.

I presume it's been reported to facebook?

I'm not sure if this makes me a bad person, but I was more upset that there'd be no more builds. B37 was rather buggy for their standards lol

Looks like we're back to normal. And, even better, build 38 looks to be releasing soon.

From @romanbb:

The REAL TeamKang is now alive and kicking on Facebook. Like us here and help us combat the fakers. http://www.facebook.com/AOKP.CO

Looks like the page is down. Thank you guys for restoring a little faith in humanity. I expect build 38 soon :)
