Do I need to do anything to get the Facebook contacts to sync? I have the app installed and contact sync is checked but it doesn't seem to actually be syncing them.

Native fb syncing does not work in AOSP, it's facebook's fault. I recommend Haxsync from the Play Store.. its like a dollar I think and syncs your contacts perfectly, with high resolution pics

Not that I'm aware of. But looking now I'm not sure mine is working either. Few recently added FB friends aren't in my contacts. Hmmmm

Flashed on Tuesday. Four to five hrs and I'm at 33% with extended battery. I watch a four minute video of my kids and life goes down 12%. Going back to Franco to see if that helps.

r250 and r251 has some WiFi issues affecting some users. He's working on it but keep that in mind if you can't connect.

I don't like Chrome. I find it buggy and slow.

Can I just flash gapps-jb-20120726signed? Will it replace chrome with Android browser?

Or do I have to wipe everything flash BB then flash gapps?

AOSP-based ROM. I'm sure Pete will update anything worthwhile from JRO03O if and when it is pushed to AOSP

Official CM10 will definitely not add anything until it's pushed to AOSP, which it might even be already, I certainly haven't checked. But also note that "getting ready" to merge something new from AOSP doesn't mean that it's being done right now.

EDIT: Another valid question tho: Do you know of anything specifically that has been changed, desirably, in the build?

+1 to this.

Guys remember that a carrier update doesn't mean OS features were updated. The latest OTA is very very close to AOSP. My guess us that it's almost identical except for the new binaries (that Pete already merged) and the new radios (that already leaked, and you can install id you want).

If there is anything new worth adding I'm sure Pete will get it in, even if it's outside of AOSP. If there isn't then we'll see the new version when it's added to AOSP.

I'm installing this ROM for the first time, coming from Euroskank, so I know I need to do a full wipe. from reading through the last few pages of this thread, I'm a little confused as to whether I need to also flash a separate gapps, or are all the gapps already in the main toro download?

I personally haven't flashed a BB for a little while now, but all the ones I have flashed had the gapps included in the download.

Flash the radios separately, they're never included in ROMs. Grab them from the sticky up top
