[RoM] AOSP 4.0.3 - updated 02/11

Re: [rom] aosp 4.0.3

Hey jstntp,

How did you add the notification bar toggles? Is that already built in or did you add that yourself? I ask because I can't actually test it myself right now because I had a dead pixel and sent in the phone for repairs. Oops... Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your hard work and tweaking too!

The toggles are now built into the new v6 build. There are a bunch up there too, make sure you give them a scroll. ;)

Couldn't get my calendars to sync. Bummer.

If I don't ask, I know beezy will........... did you do a complete wipe before flashing? If not try that.

Re: [RoM] AOSP 4.0.3 - updated 01/15

Beezy & Team Hydro.. Looks awesome man.. Had to flash it to check out the live wallpaper, AC Lloyd bat mod and all the goodness...

Great work !

BTW my gift to all of you is our Red Synergy is supporting Dooderbutt v6 so give it some love will ya ;) Also I left AC Lloyd battery mod in place, I didn't have the heart to remove Lloyd :)

Thanks again guys for the build.

Paul

Nooooo...<grumble, grumble>.:-\

I didn't want to lose all my home screen settings, folders etc. I really hate re-establishing all that stuff.

Can I back up the launcher in TiB and restore the data only?

I have a problem with all of these dooderbutt roms. So at my work, I have bad data reception in my office. Well, if the data isn't present for a while, it seems to turn off the radio or sleep. The problem is that I can't get it to turn the data back on.

I've even tried using a data toggle widget. That didn't work either. In fact, I found out that even using the data toggle widget, ican turn off my data connection but you can't turn it back on.

Does anyone else have the same issue?

Ill check out that data toggle. But next time this happens to you, try toggling airplane mode. That should restore data for sure.

Edit: Data and Airplane toggle work perfect for me.

Yes you can restore launcher data. I've done it before without issue but YMMV.

I've always used TB to restore launcher settings....never had an issue.....plus, most third party launchers(including Nova) allow you to backup settings....

Long days and pleasant nights............

Just re-upped to v6, much smoother already. Great work! Didn't have to do a full wipe, seems to not have any issues.

Re: [RoM] AOSP 4.0.3 - updated 01/15

How is the battery life with v6? V5 is great!

Re: [RoM] AOSP 4.0.3 - updated 01/15

v6 is great. It's crazy fast compared to v5. Thanks for all your work, Beezy.

I tried flashing without a factory reset and had calendar sync problems. So, I reflashed with a factory reset and the calendar sync'd correctly.

The only issue that I have seen is that I can't add my Facebook account to the Accounts & Sync settings page. I couldn't do that in v5 either, so this is not new.

Now that v6 is so fast, I really like the WebOS-ish view that appears after a long press on the home button. It used to take 5+ seconds to show up, now it's almost immediate, making it really useful for switching between apps.

Thanks again. This is really excellent work.

All right...used TiB to restore the launcher settings and flashed after a 3x wipe. No calendar sync issues.

Yes you can restore launcher data. I've done it before without issue but YMMV.

Something I noticed after restoring the settings: the notification bar toggles disappeared. I'm wondering if it is related to restoring the settings or flashing the version 1 dooderbutt 1% battery mod (the one that came out for earlier versions of dooderbutt).

Either way, I can live without the toggles.

The ROM in general is very smooth. It's hard to say just how much faster it is than v5 because I immediately flashed Matr1x 14.5 BFS. Regardless, the who phone is fast without any overclocking. Haven't had any FCs.

Again, nice job, beezy.

It's funny: I really hesitated to upgrade to v6 because v5 was running very smoothly. My desire to see what's out there got the better of my traditional "if it ain't broke don't fix it" mentality.

You lost the toggles because you flashed the old 1% battery mod. I posted a new one in post #3 when v6 was released. Download and flash that to get the toggles back if you wish. They are quite useful IMO.

Toggling airplane mode fixes it, brings data back. With the new notification toggles, it is very easy to do as well.

Thank you.

Re: [RoM] AOSP 4.0.3 - updated 01/15

I was on v4 and had to go back to 2.3.7 because of the slowness and the non-calendar sync and other bugs. However I was encouraged by the comments about V6 and am now up on it. So far, all is working great and I am very happy with this one.

Also since beezy suggest wiping all apps and going back to market to reinstall, let me suggest the app list backup application. I installed that before upgrading to this ROM and backed up my list of apps. What this app does is record a list of your installed apps. Then once you upgrade you can re-install it, open up your backup and it will take you to the market for each app you want to reinstall. This way the market knows about them and it won't let you install apps that are not ICS compliant. A HUGE timesaver.

My exact experience. v6 is awesome and a ton faster then v5. I recommend doing a full factory reset due to the direct update breaking calendar syncing.

Thanks breezy!
