[rom] AXI0M

Welp time to set up the phone AGAIN.
This is the 5th or 6th time setting up the phone lol.

1.8 fixed the couple of issues I noticed in 1.7.

Happy so far.

How much better is this than the regular stock? I don't really understand the "talk about mods". I am very new to the whole android and rooting experience. so if someone can tell me what exactly this mod does to my phone, e.g make it faster. Or should I just wait for 4.0.3 to be released by google?

Geez... 1.8 now? I just flashed 6 today... then 7... might as well go for 8. :p That's three times today. By the time I boot my phone back up, 1.9 should be out. :)

I got the phone set up in record time. Titanium is an absolute lifesaver. Plus lotsa practice. 1.8 is what I been waiting for. No bugs to report yet.

The phone feels faster IMO. There are toggles in the pulldown menu, an enhanced reboot menu are couple of things in the rom, along with many under the hood changes. You can add mods to the rom like different colored soft buttons and battery icons in the notification bar. Plus flashing stuff is just plain fun. ;-D

Wow 3 updates in 1 day. You have to love the developers dedication to making this rom perfect and not making us wait for every little bug fix ...like Verizon trial ane error and fast updates. I'll stick with this rom

What do you use titanium for? I know its for restoring apps. Are you able to restore system settings and home screens?

Yeah it does an amazing job at restoring apps and their data. Don't restore system data after loading a new rom cause it may cause problems. System settings are fairly easy to restore manually.

I use ADW EX and that has a backup/restore feature that brings back your homescreen exactly how it was.

Once you get into flashing, it gets really addicting.

Use the Nova Launcher which is the same as the stock ISC launcher and your able to backup your home screens using it. It's not in the market but over at XDA, let me know if you need a link.

So after the initial boot loader wipe, once you get rooted and CWM installed, flashes are as they were on most other phones? I remember flashing radio's on my original Droid and seems like you can here as well? Looks like data wipes are pretty common to with Rom upgrades. After coming from the charge, this many roms and mods is making my head spin. I have not done anything yet as I had concerns about the radio but it seems to be pretty good. I have not dropped any calls at least.

I had read Th3ory's roms were good on the Bionic and this seem to be where I am leaning. I there anything that is lost by going to this?

I need to just root this thing and start flashing I guess. I really thought with no bloat, I would be content. I want wireless tether and I am sure themes will be coming at some point as well ...

I had the charge before this phone and you are right, the charge dev scene was on life support. I kept a rom on there for months at a time for lack of anything better. Used to miss the fascinate days where there was tons of stuff.
Here on the Nexus, the sheer amount of stuff just a couple weeks after release boggles the mind. Flashing on the nexus seems more straightforward and easier. I have not seen Odin used for anything on this phone yet...most all stuff including radios get flashed in cwm.
Try flashing the new 4.0.3 radios. I don't know if they are an impovement, but they are definetely not worse.
Also if you going to start flashing try to do it sooner than later because when you unlock the bootloader, it will wipe your phone and all the setting up will be lost. Also with the data wipes before rom flashes, you will lose everything. Titanium will save you from alot of headache.

Hello everyone,

This is my first Nexus, I have unlocked the bootloader and I am rooted. Could someone help me flash this ROM? I need step by step directions, this will be my first flash of a ROM.

Thank you in advanced!!

Thanks for the help!

Quick question: How do I move the Zip file to the /sdcard/ location on the GN?

Thanks!

You can use the usb cable or I like to use an app called wifi file explorer and transfer over wifi.
Probably the easiest way is to just download from the phone if you're on 4G or wifi. Don't even try on 3g.

This from is fast. I am trying mine underclocked to 1ghz.

Not sure if i did something wrong but after flashing this ROM each time I tried to install an app from the market it would give me "Application name" did not download due to an error. Then just drop back to the market. I like some of the extras on this especially getting rid of the persistent search bar but going back to 4.0.2 for now. have to admit ICS stock is pretty damn nice but good work on this!
