What is this one finger expansion stuff? Am I missing something here? Do we not already have that?

Before you needed two fingers to expand the notification Window, now you only need one finger and the notification will expand. Does that make sense? Not sure how to explain.

Since it came out so fast after the asop of the 4.1.2 I had to ask the question. I'm impressed.

Pretty new to this stuff, decided to give this a try...think I almost got it. Used Wug's kit and installed a BB ROM a while back, without issue...tried to do the same with the latest CM 10 Euroskank and I think I'm missing something. Installed the one dated for today, I guess that would be 1013...can't seem to get any of my Google stuff to sync. Gmail and Play open for a brief moment then close. In fact I can't seem to even add the account to the phone. Is this where gapps come into play? I remember reading BB had them already included, I guess I assumed the same was the case here. All the Google apps are present, I just can't open anything that requires account login, nor can I restore my Google contacts.

Everything else seems to work fine and very smooth.
Also, the wifi and mobile network icons in the status bar never turn blue...they're stuck on grey for some reason. Not sure if this is a normal CM10 issue or what. My connection is fine and I can still browse the web over both wifi and 4G.

Lot of newb questions here, just trying to stumble through the process without bricking my phone! Any help, or direction appreciated!

Yup, you'll need to flash a GAPPS for this rom. It doesn't matter too much which GAPPS you choose, as long as it works for you. The below are just 2 of the more popular choices around here:

Your network icons are grey since you're having trouble syncing your Google accounts. Once you flash GAPPS, your icons should become blue again.

Reflash the rom with GApps. But before that do a factory reset in recovery. Good luck!

So, I'm having horrible data connectivity. I'm pretty sure I was rock stable all the way up to 1004. However when I jumped on 1009 my radios went to . I jumped to 1010(or1011) hoping to fix the data connections. Now on 1012, still bad.

If I drive from 3g to 4g areas, and vice versa, I have to reboot. Most of the time I have greyed out bars, but I also will have blue bars and no connection. I installed 1012 at home on wifi. Right in the middle of downloading my tenth app I watched the data arrows disappear and just the up arrow blink every five seconds.
I saw something about 4.1.x gapps causing grayed out bars. I've used gapps-20120726.....signed for a while. No trouble before now. I remember these crappy connections before the JB radios.

...of course I'm clean wiping.

I had some weird connection issues as well last week. Hopefully, they get these ironed out soon. I don't think it's a GAPPS issue so much as a 4.1.2 issue. That seems to be around the same time this started happening.

4.1.1 might be the stability I'm remembering. I believe I jumped to 1009 build for the 4.1.2 rom.

I was having the same issues with the rom. I flashed 1013 but still testing it to see if the radios are a bit more stable.

I just went back to unrooted, locked, stock everything. Faster, more responsive, and way batter battery life than any ROM I've ever tried. How ironic.

Ewwwww.... locked, stocked, and two smoking barrels... I don't think I could ever go back. Give it a couple of days and then check the battery levels.

Cool beans! I'm sure wiping the sd card has a lot to do with that. We all need to clean house at one point.
